Before we begin, let's recap the rules:
Things to remember:
1) A full writeup of the rules can be found here (http://www.mafiascum.net/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page) This game will be more complicated than what's described there, as nearly everyone has some sort of 'special thing' about them. Doesn't mean everyone has a night power, but you never know...
2) When you vote, please do so by saying Vote: [Player] in bold. If you wish to change your vote, please say Change Vote: [Player] instead. Voting for 'Nobody' is a valid vote; if a majority votes for 'nobody' then nobody will be lynched and we'll move on to the Night phase.
3) If your role says you -may- PM me a target, you don't have to do anything at night. Even so, it'll speed things along quite a bit if you'd still just send me a PM saying "Not using my [whatever] power tonight, thanks."
4) If your role says you -must- PM me a target, and you do not? I'll pick one randomly. Or, perhaps, not-so-randomly. Don't blame me if you target someone who kills you.
5) You may NOT send a PM to anyone about this game unless your role explicitly says you can. This is cheating.
6) Do NOT edit your posts in this thread. This is cheating.
7) Please do not copy-and-paste anything from any PM I send you to the thread. This is also cheating.
8) Please do not post in this thread after you are killed. This, too, is cheating and can ruin the game if done wrong.
9) Cheaters don't get to play in any other Mafia games I run. Period.
10) Remember, it's just a game. You will get paranoid, you will be stabbed in the back by someone, you will see somebody do or say something stupid and want to smack them. Just breathe deep and relax. If things get out of hand, we do have a mod playing who will forcibly remind you to chill out if needed. It hasn't happened yet, and I'd like to keep it that way.
11) EXPECT ANYTHING!!! This ain't your children's Disney!
READ THIS NOW!!!!
A) You will see characters doing things in this game VERY un-Disney-like and maybe even out of character. Same with you - Just play along...and don't take it personally - it's supposed to be fun. ;)
B) It is very important that you DO NOT DISCUSS THIS THREAD WITH ANYONE ONCE YOU ARE OUT OF THE GAME! It goes without saying that dead is not always dead in the Black Magic Kingdom of the Realms...
C) If you miss TWO NIGHT ACTIONS in a row, you will be replaced.
Notes about this game:
1) The story will take place in three settings - the Castle, the Forest, and the Sea. It is all for flavor text but there will be clues to the identity of the people depending on their background.
2) This does not follow the continuity of any other Disney Game. That means Disney characters that have appeared before, whether in the game or even as my death write up, may appear. Consider this a clean slate.
3) Characters have been chosen from Pixar and Disney Animation. No Live Action characters are in the game. That means no Davy Crocket or the Parent Trap Twins or Captain Jack Sparrow. Only cartoons.
4) This all came from my brain, which means everything is meant to be a little wacky. Don't try to assume that there is a pattern. Cause there isn't.
and finally 5) Good guys can be mafia, bad guys can be town, there are town-friendly neutrals that bad guys in actuality....anything goes. Evil in the movies does not mean evil in the game. See rule 4 - don't assume a pattern.

Night 0 write up - part 1....
Charlie stared at TV and finally let out the breath of air he didn’t know he was holding in. They had won. 3 months of hell they had put him and his team through, but in the end they had prevailed.
Charlie skipped over to his liquor cabinet and pulled out his favorite vodka. He mixed himself a drink and sat down on the couch, slowly sipping the concoction, while his laptop kept beeping with new emails of congratulations.
“Not now Gracie,” he said to the black and white cat that was quietly mewing by his feet, wanting some room to sit on his lap, “Let me find something to watch on TV…” Charlie grabbed the remote and turned on the TV, flipping away from any of the newschannels.
“Ugh, nothing good on TV….” Charlie continued channel surfing, looking for anything.
“Mew….” Grace looked impatiently up at Charlie.
“What?” Charlie put down his drink and patted the cushion next to him, “Come on,” Charlie kept mindlessly channel surfing.
There was a huge bright light outside his apartment window and then a large crack of thunder. Grace snuggled closer to Charlie, pushing against his side.
Charlie picked up his laptop and placed it on his lap, still surfing the channels.
“Aw man,” Charlie‘s fingers moved deftly across the keyboard, bringing up the Realms, “I know, I know!” Charlie talked to the computer, “I will start the next Disney game...just gotta get some time...”
Charlie placed the remote down and began to type away.
“And with that final Senate vote, it seems that the measure to defund….” a voice from the TV filled the room.
Charlie looked up quickly grabbed the remote – he needed mindless TV.
With the laptop on his lap, he began to flip through the channels again.
“Oh look…a movie marathon on the Disney channel…” Charlie paused on the channel, “And it is starring…”
Another flash of lightning and thunder and the entire room went dark.
“Tomorrow night…on Disney!” the announcer said on the TV.
The TV came on, filling the room with a green glow.
“Mew….” Grace cocked her head sideways and stared at the screen.
“What the…” Charlie tried to flip from the channels but it stayed on Disney.
“Only on…Disney!” the tv announcer said again, “Come on, haven’t you always wanted to be on Disney?”
“Um….” Charlie looked down as his laptop began to heat up.
“Mew…” Grace had had enough of this and jumped off his lap.
“Isn’t it time….Charlie.” the voice deepened and sounded menacing, “Time to join in….”
The TV burst into bright light.
Charlie shielded his eyes from the light, feeling a strange sensation from the laptop....it was almost like he was falling.
The vertigo finally ended, as did the bright light. Charlie still held his eyes shut. The strong smell of the ocean and the sand beneath his feet finally piqued his curiosity enough to open his eyes.
“Really?” Charlie looked around, his outfit now a tight purple tunic and black leather pants. Around his neck was a large sea shell.
He stood on a shore, black sandals on his feet sinking into the sand. He looked up but the sun hid behind heavy clouds. He noticed his hands….scales? His feet were webbed.
“This has to be a dream….” Charlie began looking around…everything looked odd…like he was in some sort of…cartoon?
He walked away from the sea, crossing a dune to see a giant castle.
“This really has to be a dream….” Charlie saw a road with two men on horses, geared in dull armor.
“Um, excuse me…” Charlie waved to the men, “I am wondering if you could…”
“Halt, Sea Warlock!” one of the men dismounted and drew a sword, “Ye think we are fools as you approach us? Nay…”
“What the hell did you just say?” Charlie furrowed his brow.
“He speaks in tongues, it is a spell…” the second man brought up the reins and charged Charlie.
"Hey...aren't you...from HCRealms...." Charlie began but the knight with the sword was still coming at him.
“Beluga sevruga, come winds of the Caspian Sea” the words came out of Charlie mouth but Charlie had no idea why or what he was saying.
He looked down and saw that his hands were glowing, “Um…” Charlie brought up his hands and water began shooting out of them, knocking the second man off his horse.
“The Sea Warlock has released his magick, run for it knave!” the first soldier took off into the woods.
"Larengix glaucitis Et max laryngitis La voce to me!" Charlie sang again, still not knowing why or what he was saying. Charlie raised an hand and the second soldier was lifted in the air by an invisible hand.
"Who are you?" Charlie ordered as the soldier twisted in the air, "And why do you look somewhat like...."
Charlie felt a pain in the back of his head and all went black.

In a meadow west of the castle, a deer was nibbling on some grass. The deer began to tug at a dandelion when a buzzing began to fill the field. It looked around and saw the source – a blue light was emanating from…nothing?
The deer ran off, frightened by the blue light. It never saw two shiny humanoid figures come through the blue light. The two figures looked around, one of them bringing out an instrument that it waved through the air. The other brought out a small weapon and fired it at the ground, leaving nothing but scorched earth. Yes, it was time to correct time.

Satisfied that no one has saw it, the figure began pushing buttons on it’s wrist and the red light disappeared. The figure nodded to no one in particular and began walking across the field. Yes, it was time to correct time.

A figure sat on the docks holding a big book, watching in bemusement as the citizens hurried in hushed voices.
“The Sea Warlock had been captured...” they whispered to each other, some in fear and some in excitement.
“Yes...this is the perfect time for my greatest plan to be hatched, yes no?” the figure said to no one in particular, “Soon the Realms will be mine...like taking the candy from the baby! I am so brilliant I even amaze...me!”

“Wake up, Warlock…” Charlie felt a slap on his cheek.
“Huh…but…” Charlie felt a stinging in the back of his head. He went to go rub it but his hands were shackled. So were his feet. He shook his head and looked around – he was in a jail cell.
“So the great and mighty Master Ursula, the Sea Warlock, has dared to come on shore from his safety of the sea,” a regal figure stood before him, “Did you think you could just walk onto my land and go unnoticed?”
“Master…Ursula? Shore? What are you…I’m not from the sea, I’m from DC!”
“That’s what I said, the sea! Honestly, Sea Warlock, I expected something a bit more tactical, something more thought out than you just walking up to my door. Brave...yes, but incredibly foolish.”
Charlie looked around in bewilderment - the regal figure that stood before him looked familiar...just like the soldiers before.
“I don’t know what is going on here,” Charlie began, “But I am not a warlock, my name is not Ursula and....”
“SILENCE SEA WARLOCKI!” the regal figure shouted, “I will have my vengeance! YOU WILL NOT DESTROY MY KINGDOM! I will rule the land AND the sea. Not you...not ANYONE WILL STOP ME!”
The regal figure brought out his very familiar weapon and held it up to Charlie’s throat, “Don’t test me, Warlock…if we didn’t have plans for you, I would gut you like a cod fish.” The regal figure smiled, “Instead, I will dangle you like a worm on a hook and the rebels will come snatching at you, only to pull you away and crush them ONCE AND FOR ALL!”
“But I am not....” Charlie began but a gag was stuffed in his mouth.
“Shhhh, Sea Warlock, no more magic from you…”
“Guards…announce our prisoner’s eminent death…it is time to reel the big fish in.”

According to the sentence structure, I'd guess CarlosMucha - but since Carlos does not appear in the list of players.... There is only one individual cunning and evil enough to talk like that and then immediately try to cast suspicions away from himself.

Okay, I usually don't do this but the unusual set-up of the game does have me wondering about something.
Based on my role and based on MSU's opening writeup corpse, do we think it's safe to assume our character names are going to be a close hybrid of our screennames and the Disney character we sent in?
Because I'm thinking, which of our screennames would be most conducive to creating an evil role, and looking across that list...it's DarqFeonix. I mean the guy's got "DARK" right in his name. :noid:
And unless you guys are dead serious about the game of chicken between CharlesX and Malakim2099 (who won't even be here for several hours, yeah?)...

Read them. Understood them. And understood they only apply to the Disney characters themselves (i.e. Belle, Ariel) and not the amalgamation.
If the amalgamation character is evil-sounding, though, he's probably evil. And any hybrid character created using the name "DarqFeonix" is probably going to sound evil.

for me personally, my portion of the amalgam is at the end, so you could also have simbanix, or something, which i dont know what to think about. :laugh:

The most obvious name is Malificent2099, but I'd guess she'd be town, since she's anti-Sleeping Beauty.

You all chose your own characters...I didn't pick characters that I thought would work with you and your Realms name (or your personality if I actually know you outside the game). You gave me a character that you wanted to be and I mashed it all up.

Semi-on-topic, the wife and I watched Tangled this weekend. Other than an annoying half hour realizing I had to upgrade my Blu-Rays firmware using a USB instead of WiFi, the flick is really good with stunning animation. Music was a tad forgettable, but it was only a single viewing.

The visuals were eye candy. I bought the Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack. Unfortunately I never saw it in 3D because my daughters don't dig on wearing the glasses. I always did wonder what the scene with the 16 million floating lanterns looked like (and no, that's not a spoiler.)
I too liked the little chameleon dude (Pascal) and thought that Zacchari Levi did a great voice acting job - even if he was playing Chuck all over again. Fun fact - the twin rogues were both voiced by Ron ("Hellboy") Perlman. :cool:

Let me say that while I don't agree with the original reasoning for voting for Darq and Mal (based on how my name and my character's name mixed together), it seems to me that Darq is scummy based on his reaction to the pressure, so I'm going to leave my vote where it is. Mal's response seems more townish to me.
Also, CharlesX and Darq's comments to each other make me suspicious of CharlesX as well.

How many of them are "Targeted for N1 death" vs actual N1 deaths? 'Cuz I think folks like Mal and I still have you defeated.
(Doctors should actually learn if Rokk dies in one game get right on him in every other game because it's always a wave effect...usually about N2 though for me, of late.)

Believe it or not, Skywalker was the wife's idea. We're working on his ABCs right now, and the second letter that he learned was "S" - after repeated exposure to the Superman symbol. Kid's going to have a heck of a time escaping his parents' nerdiness.

Something you might want to consider, that charlesx did not.
Evil as a character doesn't mean anti-town, nor does good as a character mean anti-mafia. Voting for me just because "wah mal = evil wah wah wah" is lame metagaming. Frankly, I'm amazed it has that much steam, and I suspect there's a decent mafia movement behind it.
