When I opened up my first starter pack the very first fig inside, was rookie daredevil. He always has a special place in my heart. The rest of the pack went as follows in exact order

I made so many combinations with those eight beloved figures. Daredevil, annihilus, and scarlet witch(my first vet, sigh) are still some of my favorite figs. I have two rookie daredevils, 1 for playing and the original stays outside of the box as the first fig. my first booster goes as follows.

I remember exactly what my first figs were I bought a Marvel IC booster and a DC HT one. From a Mavel IC booster: E SHIELD Agent, R Hydra Agent, R Bullseye, and E Ultron. From the DC booster: R Arcane, R Metropolis SCU, V Mad Hatter, E Huntress.

Funny Story, I was getting sick of my huge collection of pokemon cards, which all sets were complete, and I decided to sell them, see how much I could get. i ended up getting 75 bucks. With all that money in my pocket thats when I noticed Heroclix. I ended up burning all of it , but hey my highlights of that day were

1. (U) Thanos, igot in my first starter
2.(U) wasp
3.(U)spiderman( i got an extra thanos so I traded)

This is where my obsession for heroclix started!!!

Well, I want the eBay route and paid about $25 for a promo Spidey* before the game was available out, But I did get the Unique symbiote-suit in my first starter :D








*Contemplating doing the same thing for Judge Dredd (he was the first indy comic I ever read) but the current prices on the 'Bay are nowhere near $25 :(

First piece was the Promo Spidey, got it from my local shop, and carried it around in my car with me like it was made out of gold. :) Then, the day IC was released, I got a U Spidey in the first starter I opened.

I started out by buying Vet Hobgoblin for 2 bucks out of a case of one of the four comic stores around here.

I planned on getting some of the characters I liked, manly just Joker, Batman, and Bane for the time being. I saw Hobgoblin and he has always been one of my favorites. So I got him.

Then next week I got V Sabertooth and V Captain America, both for 2 bucks each. Then I decided I would maybe try to play the game a little when Joker and Batman come out. I ended up getting R/E for Hobgoblin, America, and Sabertooth. Those were the characters they had that I liked. They had Klaw and other's like him that are alright, but at the time I didn't intend on getting into the game.

So then I see the mother of all Clix, ULTRON!! I had to have him. I bought him, then I got Jean Grey and Cyclops and probably around then I got a starter and boosters. I never intended to get into it like I did. I guess that's what made the first set really cool. I wasn't on the net looking for info and I didn't know who all was in the set. It was kind of like Christmas seeing new characters come from the boosters, but now I must know who is in the set before hand to determine if I want to preorder a case or not.

So did I get taken for that Vet Hobgoblin? haha

I got my first fig when they were demoing the game at Gencon last summer. Everyone who tried it got a SHIELD Agent.

Went about a month before I broke down and bought my first box (IC Starter). If I remember right it contained:

later that week i bought a few more boosters and got a unique elektra.

and...i do believe that accounts for 100% of my marvel uniques. :(

Ah well. with DC I got an Exp. Superman from my starter, and Darkseid from a booster.

In my local comic book store, the comic book guy showed me what he thought was going to be a huge craze, HeroClix. He showed me the promotional Spider-Man, and I took note at the figure. Initially I thought it might be neat. When I bought my starter, I got a rookie Hulk, and rookie Magneto. They both sold me right there, and so I decided to buy boosters after boosters after boosters. As much as I was awed by Magneto and Hulk, I usually get Rookie Magnetos and Hulks.... And tagically I never really got a unique figure from IC....

Since then, I've lost track. eBay and countless boosters have dumped piles of clix into my collection. But I'll always have fond memories of that U Spidey taking on Magneto as I tried to learn the rules...:D

I had a Veteran Jean Grey!! I was used to Heroclix from my friend's collection after playing about 10 games. He didn't have it, and wasn't the biggest X-Men fan. So I was looking for her as she is really useful to X-Men teams and I've been a mutant geek since I was 4. But now she's a mainstay of my teams. I had great luck, a red Rogue and a blue Mr. Fantastic soon afterward.

I can remember my first two......promo Spidey came from a comic shop near my home. Two weeks later, at the Motor City Comic Con, WizKids ran a demo where everyone attending got either a promo Spidey or a promo Batman.....I took the Bat!! So my first two figs were the promos.

And then I discovered the wonderful thing known as "ordering full cases"......my bank account hasn't fully recovered from it yet!

We were playing Necromunda, and someone grabbed the Promo Spiderman the shop had on display to use for their Malcadon Spyrer.

(For those who don't play the game, a Malcadon Spyrer wears a battlesuit that allows them to shoot webs and climb walls)
