View Full Version : Mind Control/Breakaway queston...
When you mindcontrol one of your opponets characters, and they are adjacent to another one of your opponets, do they need to breakaway if you want to move them since they are considered yours now. Also, can you mind control out of base to base contact like w/ outwit?

You do not need to roll breakaway unless the MC'd figure is in base to base contact with one of his former allies.
And MC has a range equal to the user's rane. If the user has no range, like Mad Hatter, it has a range of 4.

The MC'd figure would have to roll for breakaway to move away from one of your opponent's figures. Good thing is, even if you failed the breakaway roll, that figure still gets a token.
I believe since MC is considered an attack, and you can only attack the figure(s) you are BtB with, unlike Outwit.

Why would you think you can only attack figures you are in B2B contact with?
Ranged attacks happen all the time.
Valandar was correct.
From the PAC: Give this character a close combat or ranged combat action....If a character with this power has a range value of 0, assume that his range value is 4.(emphasis added.)

I think what he means is that if prof x in b2b with an enemy fig can prof still MC an enemy who was 8 spaces away,in this case,no.

Ahhhhhhh...the comment makes sense to me in that context. Thanks. And in that case...four_winds has it exactly right.

That IS what he asked, wasn't it?

If not, then sorry for the mistake.
