I found him fun to play with, especially with his Sequel power which keeps letting him come back (like in the movies) as long as your dial roles are good

In my opinion, most of the action packs were way over powered in horrorclix.

Freddy is excellent in HrC. Personally, I prefer the side of the card with the green "start" streak on the side since it a) offers him more protection (invulnerability) and b) better late-dial damage (spree). "My world, My rules" is also a fun power, and can either be used to devastating effect or sometimes just a great nuisance to your opponent.

However, if I'm on the upper half of his dial and see an opportunity to possess an opposing monster, especially a tough one, I'll definitely flip to the other side for at least a turn or two. If you're facing high-D opponents then the flipside is also nice for the mid-dial attack boost.

Two plot twists is nothing to sneeze at, either.

Anyways, in my experience he's pretty good, but then he should be since he's tied with Jason for the highest cost single-base character in the game. I don't feel like these two are terribly overpowered, for the price you pay they're pretty balanced. The AvP sets were worse for balance than these guys, in my opinion.

I hated these sets. Unlike AVP which were playable in Heroclix. These had powers that didn't work if you played them with the cards. . .and powers that made no sense if you played them via the PAC.

The AvP figures work OK if you just went by the PAC, but they're definitely not designed that way and don't stand up to HC figures in my experience. Excluding the Alien Queen and the Elder Predator, all the aliens and predators are pretty consistent by the HC PAC - lots of charge/blades/poison/toughness (which mostly makes sense) and some with shape change (a little odd, but whatever). They're kinda boring in HC, though, and very few of the predators get stealth like they should, while none of the aliens get leap/climb like they should. IMO they're a lot more fun in HrC. Still, it is nice that WK matched the colors up fairly well, so HC players can make use of them in house rules.
