bogus stores

Me and my son went to the local mall 2day.
We both play heroclix and allways buy a pack where ever we go.
My son got a pack from GAMERS PARADICE and opend it to find this.

Three yellow and one blue(flash) - D.C.
The three yellow were not in the plastic pack that they used to pack these figures in.
The only one to come in a pack was the blue flash

This leads me to believe that the "store" opens these up,sort them out and re glue them closed.

What makes me think this is cause when i buy a new pack at my favorite store,they all come in this plastic packing.

I NEVER!.....get three yellow in a booster pack.

So please do not purchase from GAMERS PARADICE.

I have gotten 4 yellows in a pack before... and it was from a sealed case, so I know it wasnt tampered. But all of them being the same figure? and they were missing the packaging? The one you bought was more than likely tampered.

At my local Toys R Us they started putting the boosters in special lock boxes because people were just opening them in the store.

This doesn't really surprise me. I've gotten four rookies in a single booster a couple of times.

The fact that the figures weren't in plastic holders does seem a little suspect to me however. I definitely wouldn't give them my business anymore.

For Clobberin Time, the assortment is like this:
top of booster
Levels 1, 2, or 3
Wild card slot - Levels 1 - 5 possible
Levels 3, 4, or 5
Levels 2, 3, or 4
bottom of booster

So it is possible to get 4 rookies, and it's theoretically possible to get 2 uniques in a single booster.

It is HIGHLY doubtful you would get figures without the holders. If it is a local mall, I recommend taking the package and figures back to the store and discussing this with the manager of the store. It is possible his employees are stealing the figures without his knowledge. Of course, it's also possible it IS with his knowledge. Just remember, he is a businessman. He wants your money. Explain to him that you will not shop in his store again and you will encourage your fellow Clixers to avoid his shop as well. I suspect he will do something at that point. Good luck!

as a store owner....I have seen hundred of these boxes opened in my store and every single one had the plastic that you speak of. my personal opinion is that you may be correct in your assumptions...but I think you should take it back and either:
A.) get a refund
B.) get a new box and open it right there to ensure the same thing does not happen again.

basically do something about the store before crying wolf...if they resist refunding or replacing then start your crusade.

Getting three Rookies in a pack is perfectly normal (well, maybe not normal, but possible). The "no plastic" part makes it sound fishy though. Talk to the manager.

every fig should be packed in it's plastic part !

there could be 3,4 Rookie figs in 1 and thesame booster, ALL 3 being exactely thesame is almost impossible !

It should also have the little strip of paper (with the numbers on it) that's for sending incorrect boosters back to WK,so they can verify when it was pressed.

yep, that booster is been tampered with ! no doubts there !
