Awesome looking sculpts!!!

Can someone tell me whether that's Barry Allen or Wally West?

I think it's Barry Allen because the lightning bolts on the belt line are straight.

WOOOOOO! Legion of Super Heroes FTW!

05/06/2011, 15:57
That's Barry, you can tell by the belt, I think it's the first non starfish one that they got right and it looks awesome. All of the sculpts look amazing that Luthor is really cool, and I am pumped for a bunch of Legion members. Awesome.

Dr. Morbius

I'm curious to see what powers "Convict" Lex Luthor is going to get.

Heh... Matter Eater Lad...

Looks good. I like the take on prison Luthor and that Flash looks downright amazing. I'm hoping he's a bit cheaper this time around. Flash has been getting gradually more and more expensive with each version that doesn't have a starfish on his face.

Dang, there's just all kind of info flying around the 'Realms today, ain't there!

Flash looks awesome. I'm curious to see what else comes from this set. My collection of Amazons always needs to expand.

I hope the inclusion of The Flash means we'll get some Flashpoint characters and, most importantly for me, remakes of The Rogues!

05/06/2011, 16:13
So we have Superman, convict Lex Luthor, Sunboy, Matter Eater Lad, Wildfire (?), and Barry Allen Flash.

Sounds good to me. I have no interest in the LoSH and very little love for Superman, so my wallet may get a break when this set hits. I'm very happy for y'all who have been waiting so patiently for more Legion.

05/06/2011, 16:14
Hm, do the file names of those images denote collector's numbers? If so, I'm happy that none of them are likely to be SRs.

LoS, Reign of the Supermen, All-Star Superman, Robot Supermen, Justice League Batman Beyond Superman, Byrne-era Kryptonians, FlashPoint, this is already an instant 2 case deal for me!! :classic:

If this means we get a new Captain Cold, Weather Wizard, and Power Girl in a Slave Princess Leia outfit...then good...GOOD.

05/06/2011, 16:43
not another barry, we just got a great one(2 if you count white lantern) in DC75, and both the kid flash and flash version of wally are a week from retirement :/

I don't even have a clue what the hell Flash Point is?
Does Zoom go back and replace Barry as the Silver Age Flash?
Is there another forgotten Allen twin ?
Is that the night Pinky & The Brain take over the world?
Really PROJECT SUPERMAN is that going to be anything like Project Runway?
Project Superman is just going to be some watered down version of Superman because he's going to be a hybrid of Human & Kryptonian DNA.

So long as Black Zero finally gets clicked I'll be happy
and YES THAT'S SUPERBOY PRIME & Conner Kent

yes I am hoping to see Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Canterbury Cricket, Traci 13, Amethyst!!!, Shade the Changing Man, Cyborg, etc etc ...

but I have a feeling that we will see at least 3 of them...more likely: Cyborg, WW, and Batman. although I would love to see the Cricket..

I'm with you on this one. I'll likely just pick up some commons and uncommons like I usually do with sets that don't float my boat.

That means more for you Supes fans to buy!

I do kinda think that that Superman sculpt should be breaking chains for some reason.

It's Barry Allen cause of Flashpoint.

T Rez
05/06/2011, 17:39
Looks like they left the figure number in the picture filenames. Here they go:

001 Superman
015 Lex Luthor (prison outfit)
021 Sunboy
024 Matter Eating lad
037 Wildfire
045 Flash (Barry Allen)

So it looks like that Superman will be a common and Flash might be rare.

edit: I should clarify that the picture filenames I am referring to are here: http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=316396

Just download each fig's picture individually and you will see the number in the filename. This trick has shown the true fig number in past sets.

sol
05/06/2011, 17:46
So it looks like that Superman will be a common and Flash will be SR.

If Flash is 045 he'd be a Rare in a 60 figure set.

05/06/2011, 17:46

I'm impressed by the sculpts. If Superman has to have both feet on the ground, that's a nice pose to give him. Great job, sculptors!

Mongoose
05/06/2011, 18:11
I hope the new Superman doesn't meet the same fate as the last ones, where they gave into the Superman haters and made him weak from the get go, so that the haters could kill him right off the bat. He needs to be a powerhouse, like the Crisis versions were. Hope he doesn't get a starting 9AV. This is Superman, not Ulik.

05/06/2011, 19:04
Loving this! Except of course for the "non-Silver Age" sculpts on Wildfire and Sun Boy! Fortunately I have customs that will finally have official dials!

Sign me up for 3 cases please!

flatmatt
05/06/2011, 19:08
AE possibly?
That would be pretty cool. Making Lex an Alter Ego to his power armor would make him one of the few AEs (unlike Clark Kent or Diana Prince) who legitimately doesn't have the same powers whether they're in "civilian" form or not.

Now I've just got to find a way to pay for a case of this set.

UndeadEnigma
05/06/2011, 20:04
Hmm and I just put out my wallet...oh damn it's just combusted again! Quick somebody throw some Hals on it! :)

At least this set isn't until September. I'm intrigued by the Flashpoint subset, and of course Luthor is always a plus. Matter Eating Lad? I'm gonna have to see the dial.

tidge
05/06/2011, 20:08
Wow, thanks for the Legion characters WizKids.

Sun Boy is especially nice to finally get, as it means that many of the pre-Shooter era teams become possible.

Matter-Eater Lad is also greatly appreciated, since the BST was a terrible misfire IMO.

charlesdward
05/06/2011, 21:30
If that's the case, cool...I guess. Every freakin' Barry we get is SR...
Huh. Now I suddenly don't feel so bad anymore. For a while there, I felt like a victim of the old "bait and switch". Thought for sure that the SR Barry was going to be it for regular versions of him ('cause it took only a decade or so for him to finally be realeased). I would have felt a bit conned to see that I could have simply waited to get, say, a common version.
Although I have to say... that new sculpt is quite a bit nicer than the last one.

Sun Boy and a new Wildfire? Outstanding.

I wonder how many other Legionnaires are in the set, besides the three that were pictured here.

I wish that this set was coming out before September, though, so that it would be available before Dragon-Con.

Wombatboy
05/06/2011, 22:53
Matter Eater Lad! YEAH!!!

And the others look cool too. At first glance I thought Lex was wearing a flight suit (like the one he wore before he faked his death in a plane crash) but it does look more like what he wore in All Star Superman. Maybe he'll have a special power that makes him as dumb as a bag of hammers when someone plays an AE around him...

I wonder if we'll be getting a new Lois Lane in this set?

The more I hear about this set and he more speculation there is about this Flashpoint stuff, the more I think it'll be a singles purchase type of set for me. So far I see Superman, maybe Barry... and that's about it. Maybe Luthor, if he's decent, although this version seems a bit story-specific for my taste.
Sorry Legion fans... I can't stand them; always thought they were incredibly lame. But then again, I love Deadpool, so one man's lameosity is another man's hilarity; that's cool, I can dig that.
I'm glad that all of you are getting your long-awaited, beloved figures, especially because I see that the fanbase for them is not only large, but fairly rabid (in a good way!). So as much as I will be avoiding them, I think you guys deserve them.

And I don't remember if I had a point to make with all this. Damn ADD...

That prison issue from All Star Superman was my favorite of the series, it was amazing.
