Mockingbird, Wonderman, & The West Coast Avengers

When I read comic books way back in the day I really got hooked on the West Coast Avengers. I really wanted to play them in heroclix but the choices were fairly limited. If my memory serves me correctly the original lineup was Hawkeye, Tigra, Wonderman, Ironman, & Mockingbird with the Thing pinch hitting when they were searching for a sixth member.

In anticipation of Ironman's release, I have constructed Mockingbird and Wonderman. Mockingbird was easy because I just repainted a Blackcat and used her base. I did the same with Wonderman, I used a Unique Superman for him.

Do you think that these are good choices for bases and if not, what bases would be better?

i'm a west coast avengers fan myself...

i made wonder-man using constrictors body and a SHIELD agents head (the long haired one)...i used the wonder man from when his hair was a little shaggier and he stopped wearing the glasses...

i also just completed the grim reaper (wonder-man's brother) cause they had some great storylines together.

i haven't made mockingbird yet, but i was planning on using black cat's head...i was going to use it on the CT elektra's body though, and just cut down her staff into two billy club things...

i'd love to see your mods tho'...any pix up yet?

as a west coast avengers fan as well, what do you think the chances are of mockingbird, wonderman, moonknight, and tigra showing up in the next marvel expansion? Does anyone have custom versions of moonknight or US agent?

I've not yet made a custom US Agent, but I'm hoping that once I complete my IC series, that I'll pick up an extra Cap-R and repaint him as John Walker. It should be very easy. After doing a test job on the costume, I may get even more ambitious and give him a slightly bigger mug.

I'm certain we'll see Wonderman pretty soon, as he is not only a long time favorite of many people, but also still making appearances in more recent issues.

Mockingbird is a tough call, based on the fact that she died. :( A shame, because having her around would give me more excuses to play Clint!

I'm also a big wca fan and have been looking forward to playing the Avengers vs the West Coast Avengers. Can't wait until they release the figures in November (fingers crossed). Great mods by the way.
