I'm sure this has been asked a million times but I couldn't find a relevant thread...

Can a fig making a hypersonic speed attack be perplexed?

Yes you can, and that can be very effective.

Actually, wouldn't it be no?

My thoughts: HSS attack(I'm talking about the multiple hit attack) says that you reduce damage to 1 just like EE, PW, or multi-target attack. None of which you can Perplex, since you cannot Perplex after the attack is declared, which is when the damage is reduced.

However, you would be able to Perplex a single HSS attack(the 'drive by' attack), since you do not reduce the damage.

Am I correct?

That would be my understanding as well....

Oops... I was referring to the run-by HSS attack.

You are correct about the stand-n-punch attack.

cool......just making sure I understood the rule correctly.

On a side not, I recently made a team with Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, and a couple of Perplexers. And I must say, the effects were devestating(to my opponent:D ).

You can always perplex up your attack rating on standing HSS attacks.

Yup, that works....did that too......
