Does L/C, Phasing, and flying characters have to stop when entering hindering terrain. I didn't think that Phasing or L/C had to, but the rule book just says "characters".

Also, what if you are moving from one square of hindering terrain that is basically the same square (and don't have any superpowers). Ex: Look at the maps that contain trees that cover an entire 4 squares. If I move out of one square of the 'tree' into another square consisting of the same 'tree' do I stop?

Hope the question makes sense. Thanks in advance!!!

LC, Phasing and flying don't have for hindering at all.

As far as I know, when figs without this power leave hindering terrain, the only thing that happens is their speed is halved. But I could easily be wrong.

Spikor is correct. Figures with Leap/Climb and Phasing ignore terrain for the purposes of movement, and the rulebook specifically says that hovering figures can ignore hindering.

For #2---you only have to stop moving when moving from clear terrain to hindering. If you are moving within the same block of hindering, you just follow the normal movement-halving rule.

Okay, but if a flier w/o powers becomes adjacent to an opposing character, do they stop or keep moving?

they stop. unless they've got phasing, lc or Hypersonic speed
