Yeah - I hated that :)

I was interrupted 4 times trying to do this.

1) Shatterstar on Brood - roll is a 4,4 and blades is a 3 - hit and 2 damage to the Brood. Knockback 2 to H14. That was lucky.
2) Cable is going to eat the damage - we'll see how far he can be pushed. AV 11 on B8 - miss with a 2 - PC from Domino - hit for 5-1 more and the KO.
3) Guthrie picks up Shatterstar. Move and attack on B7 - roll is a 7 one short - too bad. Guthrie ends at C7, with Shatterstar at D6.
4) Domino to D13 push.
5) Tabby to B16.

f) Time Bomb's go off - but sadly no one takes any damage.
1) Siryn breaks away - heads for J4, Tabby at I3.
2) Cannonball pushes to attack prof x with HSS. He does so and crit misses. He drops Shatterstar at F1 and retreats to E1 (at least he got impervious out of the deal). Ow.
3) Cable tries to breakaway - fails. PC from Sunspot (not Thunderbird who can't see Cable) - fails again and looks kind of stupid.
4) Roberto winds up with a mighty 7 - takes a push and tries to hit the Brood in from of him. Miss with a 3. PC to .. an 8! 4-1 damage with the heavy object and the Brood DIES!

Yep a couple of rolls either way would change it. If I had hit that breakaway for example, I'd be in the game still. Or on the other hand, if you had hit a few more top end BCF rolls, I'd be so out of this game.

Yeah I knew he was toast when I didn't carry him away when i should have. Poor poor Cable.

I'm still happy to own him. Its the first one since Mutant Mayhem, and I never owned that one. it was a character that I felt was missing from my X-Men collection :)

I think he works great, but you kinda need to build around him. Some TK would help a lot, but he's still a secondary attacker at heart, who becomes a primary attacker down his dial.

In the Leagues, he'd be great with Nanobots and Trick Shot. He's epically feat-able. Lunge for those middle clicks, Auto Regen..lots of fun :)

Oh, and Prof's in J-1, like on the map :)

As much as that just burned me, I love the new adjacent for Pulse Wave rule. It makes those RS-less tent poles with it have a great option, and it leads to situations like this where you're just getting swarmed, and let loose with it.

Then I also did a Wonder Woman (Amazons), Aquaman (Atlantean Warriors...a lot of them), Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter (i.e. JLI), and the reserves (Firestorm, Green Arrow, Zatanna, Hawkgirl, Hawkman, Atom, Elongated Man and Red Tornado).

The villains were basically just as easy, with Ares fronting Pluto, Circe and Cheetah for Wonder Woman, a bunch of King Sharks for Aquaman, Rogues, Sinestro Corps, The Society and then I finished it off with a motley crew of the Royal Flush Gang and Amazo w/ others.
