X-Statix is probably one of the coolest books Marvel's ever published, and I think it would be pretty sweet if they were represented in Heroclix. The character's wouldn't be very powerful, but they'd be inexpensive and overall cool-looking. Assume all are rookies since the characters themselves are fairly new. Without further ado, the X-Statix:

The Orphan (Guy Smith)
Speed: 8 7 6 6 5 5
Attack: 8 8 7 6 6 5
Defense: 16 16 15 14 13 13 (super-senses on all 6)
Damage: 2 2 2 1 1 1 (leadership on first 2)

I gave him average attack, damage and speed, due to the fact that he's a decent combatant but nothing spectacular. He loses leadership after 2 clix due to the fact that he tends to lose his composure when things get rough. Super-senses throughout represent his enhanced sensitivity power, as does the slightly above average defense.

Phat
Speed: 7 6 6 5 5 (plasticity on first 4)
Attack: 8 7 7 6 5 (incapacitate on first 2)
Defense: 15 14 13 12 11 (toughness on first click)
Damage: 1 1 1 1 1
Range of 4, 1 target(s)
Basically you can just use him to tie up opponents with his "phat" power. In the comics he mainly backs up the other X-Statix, not much of an offensive threat, hence the Incapacitate and 4 range.

Vivisector
Speed: 9 8 7 6 5
Attack: 8 7 6 6 5 (Blades/Claws/Fangs on first 3)
Defense: 15 14 14 13 12
Damage: 2 2 1 1 1 (Perplex on first click)
Basically Wolfsbane with perplex. He's supposed to be a very smart intellectual character, but I didn't want to give him Outwit. I think Perplex worked better. With the rookie Iron Man, they gave him Perplex, and the later versions get Outwit. I'm taking it that Perplex is for the characters who are smart, but not genious level stuff like Richards, Doom, or Batman.

Doop
Speed: 10 10 9 9 (phasing on 1st 2)
Attack: 0 0 0 0
Defense: 13 12 11 10
Damage: 0 0 0 0 (perplex all the way)
Flying base.
Now this was a tough one. Doop never fights in battle, or at least hasn't chose to yet. Actually, he doesn't do much of anything. He mostly records missions for X-Statix. He's real sneaky and can get anywhere, hence the phasing. Perplex I think would work well for him due to his bizarre nature and ability to help out his teammates merely by his presence, and it would make him a little more playable. He can carry an enormous amount of mass inside his body, so you would basically use him as a taxi, I gave him a flying base for that. I know the rules state that flyers can carry anyone regardless, but I thought it makes more sense when you consider that he really does do that. I couldn't picture his scrawny arms actually picking someone up. I also think Doop would be the coolest looking Clix figure ever.

The Anarchist (Tike Alicar)
Speed: 9 8 7 7 6 5
Attack: 9 8 7 6 6 5 (1st click Pulse Wave)
Defense: 15 14 14 13 12 11
Damage: 2 1 1 1 1 1 (RCE except on last click)
Range of 6 with 1 arrow
Tricky power to work into clix, he's got acidic sweat glands that eat through stuff. I gave him RCE mainly so he can break through walls (damage>3), representing his acid sweat. He's done Pulse Wave type attacks in the comics too.

U-Go-Girl (Edie Sawyer)
Speed: 11 10 9 8 7 6 (Phasing on 1st 3)
Attack: 8 7 7 6 5 4
Defense: 15 14 13 11 11 10
Damage: 2 1 1 1 1 1
The Nightcrawler problem again, she teleports. She carries her team into battle too when she teleports. Hard ability to work into Clix. Phasing works, but doesn't allow her to bring teammates, and she doesn't fly. GL Team ability could represent this, but that obviously ain't gonna happen. And she loses Phasing soon cuz it REALLY wears her out.

I'd eventually like to make some of the other team members, but this is pretty much the core right here. I wish they could have an X-Statix team ability, but Wizkids doesn't seem to want to make new teams. Then I got to thinking, the X-Men team could work for them. The X-Men team ability shows that the X-Men are willing to sacrifice to help each other out, they are a family. I got to thinking that it would work the same way for X-Statix, but differently. You could think of it as backstabbing, seeing as how the team is always looking out for themselves. There's always infighting and double-crossing. Some X-Statix are trying to get ahead of other X-Statix by stepping over their toes. So you could think of the X-Men ability that way for them.

Lemme know what you think, good or bad!

Merry Clixmas! :)

Whoah! Wasn't expecting that, now I'm really motivated to make the figures of these guys my next project. A question, did you use the point generating system that's been floating around on the net to figure the point values out? I imagined Doop being lower in cost, but I can see that perplex would knock up his cost more. Maybe getting rid of 2 clix of perplex would be better. I don't have a printer, but I have access to one. Anything in particular I should know if printing these out? And as soon as I get these guys made (and figure out my digital camera), I will post pics!

And read X-Statix if you're a comic fan! (And even if you're not!) You won't be dissapointed!

Always glad to help. Actually I'm one of the folks who helped to create the spreadsheet version of that formula, so yes. It's available there on the index page of my site. (You need Excel or other SS program to use it though)

Perplex is rather costly, along with Outwit, RCE, and Running Shot. Bear in mind though that the formula is only an approximation, and not 100% accurate. It usually winds being a little over the actual cost of existing figures, so you can always round down by 5% or so.

I'm still trying to work out the bugs on the print size, but if you have image software like Photoshop you try resizing it to 1.25" square. Make sure you print them out at the highest possible resolution (at least 150dpi, bu 300 looks better).

I'm glad you enjoyed them. I enjoy people who are passionate about their creations, and have done quite a few customs for people here already ( in fact I'm quite backed up and hope to finish several this weekend). Let me know if you need any changes.

Salud!

I've finished my Eddie Sawyer figure and I'm working on Venus-dee-milo and Guy Smith now. My custom stats are different than yours, but to each his own. :)

Designing phat is more difficult than I thougt it would be. I considered grafting parts of the blob onto a slimmer figure, but blobs fat isn't quite the same as Phats.. Phat! So I'm guessing i'll have to use sculpting puty on him.

My custom Doop figure will have him sharing a base with Wolverine. ;)

I'd give Orphan Leap/Climb, comsidering his impressive acrobatics and the fact he's often pictured levitating in a lotus position. Also, since martial arts supremacy is often showcased by Incapacitate I'd give Guy a click or two of that, though it is rather expensive.

Yeah, I think you kindof underrated them. They are not written as a typical action comic, thats not Milligans style, but Guy is a great fighter. If his character was placed into anyother comic book, it would be obvious. Mine has a 10 attack rating, and outwit.

The_Orphan

Outwit makes sense too. He can often predict or read a person's action allowing him to gauge their effectiveness orsincerity, as well as know a person's weaknesses. Consider when he heard the brittle bones of the alien imposters back in the final X-Force mission. It also makes a semi-solid arguement for Probability Control. In the R/E/V I planned of him his rookie was Mister Sensitive without leadership and only six clix because of his russian roulette antics. Super senses a must, Leap/Climb/ and incapacitate, fairly high attack and defense too.

The Orphan E, would start in with the leadership expanding his clix to seven or eight, now adding outwit later in his dial still with incapacitate and two damage. Super Senses and Leap/Climb a staple of course, maybe Probability after outwit?

The Orphan V from X-StatiX, loses Leadership since Tike's the new man of the house. Guy's odd behavior replaces leadership with perplex, the rest is pretty much the same, but give him Nine Clix since Guy's lasted so long on the team. Start with base damage two/ Perplex and once Perplex is gone one click of actual three damage.

I probably wouldn't give perplex to Guy just cuz they seem to be giving out so much of it lately. If you speak a foreign language, that seems to be grounds for perplex these days. And keep in mind that my versions are rookies too, and x-Statix have never really been tested in typical Marvel style battles.

I was just going by the bio written for the Orphan. In an attempt to control his Senses he honed his body through different practices and disciplines, becoming a master martial artist. I'd figure he's maybe Iron-Fist or Daredevil quality at least.

Ah, I missed that they were rookies.

I just can't wait till I get a digital camera so I can post my custom x-statix figures :D Best comic around if you ask me.

OK, here's some more!

Venus De Milo
Speed: 13 10 10 9 8 5 (first 5 phasing)
Attack: 8 7 7 6 5 7 (last click Pulse Wave)
Defense: 15 14 14 13 12 11
Damage: 1 1 1 1 1 1
Range of 6 with 1 arrow

Teleports just like U-Go-Girl, but minus the side effects from all the drugs Edie was on at the time, so she can port for longer. That last click of Pulse Wave represents when she "blows up."

Coach
Speed: 8 7 7 6 6 5
Attack: 7 7 6 6 5 5
Defense: 15 14 13 12 11 10 (1st 3 mastermind)
Damage: 2 2 1 1 1 1 (1st 2 leadership, last 1 Outwit)
Range of 4, 1 arrow

Not sure if Coach's mutant power was ever revealed, all I know is that he was a huge jerk. Mastermind to reflect his heartless nature, leadership to show that he knows how to get the job done, and a little Outwit to get him out of tough situations. Coach would carry a firearm, hence the 4 range.

The Spike
Speed: 9 8 8 7 6 6 5 4
Attack: 10 9 8 7 7 6 5 (1st 4 BCF)
Defense: 15 14 13 13 12 11 10
Damage: 2 2 2 2 2 1 1
Range 4, 2 arrows
This guy is one BAD dude, who doesn't hesitate or hold back when he fights. He can shoot extremely sharp projectiles out of his skin. I gave him BCF, and range as well to show that his power works both ways and to give him some flexibility.

And after reading the last issue to come out, I'm just dying to get more info on "El Guapo" so i can make up a dial for him. I also plan on going to my game store and stocking up on cheap figs for parts some time this week.
