Agreed. This makes me sad. :(

But not as sad as some of those comments after the TMZ article. Sheesh. Talk about low (or no) class...

No way! This is sad news indeed.

(Loved his cameo as Bonesaw on the first Spider-Man movie.)

Rest in peace, Mr. Savage.

I wish I could have found a different link to post. I have always hated TMZ.

Savage's brother, Lanny Poffo told TMZ that the wrestler suffered a heart attack while he was driving and then lost control of the vehicle.

That's terrible. Lanny Poffo had just done an interview stating how happy he was retired with his new wife.

It's depressing to see one of the biggest figures in life pass on. Even the biggest heroes of the screen are mortal sadly.

Rest in peace Savage.

What?!?! NO!!!!!!!!! I don't watch wrestling anymore, but that dude was awesome back when I was making championship belts out of cardboard boxes with my buddies. BONESAW'S RRRRRREEEEEAAAAADDDDYYYYYYYY!!!!!

I don't think there's been a single time since I was five or so that I've heard Pomp and Circumstances and not done a Macho Man impression. I'm fun at graduations.

I guess this will go down as the last performance of the Macho Man:

Wow...this is disheartening.

I grew up watching this guy through the 80s and then the 90s when he was in the NWO. One of his greatest wrestling moments was in Wrestlemania IV when he defeated four other contenders in a tournament for the World Belt.

R.I.P. Macho Man :(

I'm pretty sure I cried while eating a bunch of twinkies while my dad was passed out drunk watching Macho Man and ol girl getting married. Oh the memories.

edit: and the mods do good work, though I'd suggest a merge. We don't need two Macho Man threads.

One of the best interviews you could ask for. He's still bringing it in that WWE All Stars commercial.

The Rapture has been postponed due to the @$$ whoop'n God is receiving right now from Savage who after years of being cast aside from WWE finally got his own DVD, a new LEGENDS action figure, and a spot in one of the new Video games.

He was my favorite wrestler, by far.

Sadly, he will now never get to make a WWE Hall of Fame speech. Something that was looking a bit more likely, and all because of a grudge held by Vince. He should have been one of the first guys inducted.

Now he will be...only we wont get to hear him speak and see his family celebrate.

RIP Randy.

No, he died as result of injuries in car accident his wife who was also a passenger was sent to a hospital with minor injuries and later released

Let me rephrase that while Randy may have had a stroke or heart attack it was the injures suffered as a result of the crash that killed The Macho Man.

Randy Savage isn't in the Hall of Fame yet?

Man.

That last promo - he looks exactly like my uncle, but he's still got all the Macho Man moves, and talking like an old guy all his life means his voice was still the same as it ever was.

This guy was amazing and the most entertaining sports entertainer ever. I'd even put him over The Rock just for sheer crazy.

Macho Madness surrounds us all now.

Please, if you can, find it in your heart to dig it.

We're running the GenCon Modern Age Brave Team-Up Event at my venue on Saturday:
Build the best 300 point Modern Age team but each force may only have two figures! One must be from Marvel HeroClix and one from DC HeroClix! Band your heroes together and lead them to glory!

I'll be running DC75 Bane as Bone Saw/Macho Man and WoS Spider-Hulk as The Human Spider/Hulk Hogan. Since I only get to play bye rounds, I wonder if anyone will agree to let me use the Unlimited Class Wrestling event dial?

Thank you for posting this. I read about this earlier today; how unfortunate! He will be missed, "Macho Man" Randy Savage was one of the greatest wrestlers ever, and he's on my top 5 favorite wrestlers of all-time list!

My favorite Macho Man match? Macho Man vs. Hulk Hogan (my favorite of all-time): Wrestlemania V for the Heavyweight Championship! It was great when they were the MEGAPOWERS!!!

Rest in peace Macho Man!

He died as he lived, having a heart attack and crashing a car. Because he was too awsome to be killed by just one thing.

RIP Macho Man Randy Savage.

I'm kinda disapointed there was no memorial video in last nights Smackdown for his honor. After all Macho Man Randy Savage has important part in that company's history.

I'm thinking there will be something on RAW, since Smackdown is all pre-taped.

Monday Night Raw will no doubt give Randy Savage his Tribute. Its a shame that guys like Dru Carry get in the hall of fame before the Macho Man. I'm bummed about it. I'm a huge fan.

"Dru Carry": Isn't that the name of an R&B group?

Geez it's not like he's CHUCK NORRIS (too soon )

You know, on the subject of things some folks may consider too soon, in the last couple days, I've seen the following multiple times across the web:

- Bonesaw.
- Clips from Mach's appearance on Space Ghost.
- The Tosh.O clip about inappropriate places to do Macho Man impressions.
- Comments referencing the urban legend about him and Stephanie.

The internet is weird.
