One thing that I'm not so sure about with the 3 levels of character progression is do they represent Rookie being at the lowest point in their career or is it the earliest point in their continuity? Most figs seem to represent the latter, ex: White Queen, Storm, Invisible Woman...The only figure that represents the first idea off the top of my head is Firelord, because as time went on he got weaker due to his disconnection from Galactus...Anyone else have any ideas?

I always figured that the Rookie versions are around when the characters were introduced, the Experienced versions are from later in their careers, & the Veteran versions represent their present status. The team abilities seem to support this ( see Scarlet Witch, Rogue, Beast, etc... ). I figured the fact that they usually get tougher w/ experience just made sense. I thought the E Firelord was a fluke until I read your post.

I'd say the Rookies are from the earliest parts of their careers. R & E Firelord could both be from the time he was with Galactus, V after he split.

I'd agree with that assessment. Some characters fit it better than others.
