1. Nowhere in the Sentinal rules can I find mention of Hindering terrain affecting them differently. Does this mean that Sentinals still recieve penalties to thier attacks and bonuses to thier defense from hindering terrain?
Also, if figure A is behind figure B, who is in stealth, can the Sentinal see figure A?
And if there is hindering terrain between the Sentinal and a character with stealth, but the actual square the figure occupies has no hindering terrain, is that character in stealth to Sentinal?
2. If Rookie Invisible Girl is on hindering terrain, adjacent to a teamate, and NOT adjacent to any opposing figures, does she give her teamate an 18 or 19 defense?
3. Can a character with Outwit that is BTB with a character in Stealth (that is power, not Batman Team induced) outwit that character's Stealth?
Also, is a character in stealth affected by Energy Explosion splash damage?
Thank you very much for your time....

not sure about the sentinel queions but...
2)You would only get the 18 defense.
3)Yes,you may outwit that figs stealth only while in b2b.
3a)Splash does indeed hit stealthed figs.

*The rules say sentinels can shoot over figures, so I would assume that they can shoot over bushes etc, but since this is not stated, then I would say all defences bonuses apply when attacking through hindering terrain.
Figures can also shoot over allies/other enemies to target the sentinel, so I would assume that they can also shoot over bushes, but again this is not stated, so again defensive bonuses apply.
Second edit: (from latest FAQ) all terrain rules for determing LOF to and from a sentinel apply as normal.
Also, if figure A is behind figure B, who is in stealth, can the Sentinal see figure A?
Yup, figures never block LOF to/from sentinel.
And if there is hindering terrain between the Sentinal and a character with stealth, but the actual square the figure occupies has no hindering terrain, is that character in stealth to Sentinal?
(see*) As it stands, yes, the character is in stealth.
2. If Rookie Invisible Girl is on hindering terrain, adjacent to a teamate, and NOT adjacent to any opposing figures, does she give her teamate an 18 or 19 defense?
Whatever is on her dial (18 I think). She does not pass on the hindering bonus. If the adjacent team member was in hindering, and/or had energy shield, then they could add this to the 18 defense, but she only passes on the number on her dial, nothing else.
3. Can a character with Outwit that is BTB with a character in Stealth (that is power, not Batman Team induced) outwit that character's Stealth?
If the stealth character is in terrain then no. You require LOF to outwit and you can never get LOF to a stealth character in hindering terrain.
Also, is a character in stealth affected by Energy Explosion splash damage?
Answered in later posts...
Edited for errors, should have read the rules first! ;)

He's refering to b2b in wich case you could outwit stealth.

Nope, you can only use outwit if you have LOF. Even if you are b2b you do not have LOF to stealthed character.

When you're b2b you ALWAYS have LOF to a fig.Stealth only works against ranged attacks and outwit can be used as a close combat option.

sorry 4 winds
being b2b doesnt necessarily mean you have line of sight
go figure on that ruling
so you cannot use outwit even if your b2b

Okay, so where is the Sentinal information coming from. I can't find anything in the FAQ or in the rules that says that a Sentinal LOS acts as though it comes from elevated terrain.
And if a character is BTB with another character in stealth, then wouldn't they have LOS with that character?
Not trying to argue, just looking for clarifications.

If my fig has outwit and is b2b with an enemy fig that is using stealth I can outwit his stealth.

Yea, just re-read myself, the elevated was implied, not stated, I'm gonna edit my post... :o
Captian is right with stealth tho. You cant outwit stealth, even b2b. There are alot of posts on that topic, do a quick search.

Sentinel Rules: (no, really, he does! :))
"The Sentinel’s large size means that standard characters do not block line of fire to or from a Sentinel. Sentinels do block line of fire to and from other Sentinels..........."
followed by:
"All other rules for line of fire remain the same."
Thus a Sentinel can shoot you anywhere within range, even when b2b. However you still receive your +1 hindering bonus. A Stealth figure is still invisible to range as long as the LoF that is drawn crosses any hindering terrain including the square he stands in.
Next. IG shares only her printed Def of 18. Just to clarify, the teammate would only receive a hindering bonus if the shooter's LoF crosses hindering terrain before reaching the square he's in. Remember that you ignore the squares that the attacker and defender are standing in for LoF purposes. If the teammate has Energy Shield he may still add that for a 20 vs. ranged attacks.
Finally, Abe and Cap got it dead on. You can never outwit Stealth once the figure is in or behind hindering terrain.
