hello fellow clixer's

so i am a former judge looking for a new venue in C.A., i currently live in simi valley but anything fairly close. i play mostly casual, and am not to fond of hardcore cheese. i play more for fun, and enjoy using theme's. so if you know of any tournaments/venue's around my area drop me a line and lemme know and maybe i will stop by...

I'm not sure if there's anything closer, but you're welcome to join us at Emerald Knights in Burbank, Tuesdays at 7. See our thread in this section for more info. :classic:

I hear you. I used to live in Westlake Village and it was pretty sparse out there - not even a local comic book store.

yeah westlake is pretty bad. the only positive thing is that there is a Games workshop store in thousand oaks(closer to westlake). which if you play warhammer it is cool.

AllWays Gaming in Chatsworth on Saturdays is a venue that would fit your play style.
Also, not too long ago there were games on Sunday at Collector's Paradise in Winnetka.

I live around your area, but have stopped playing for a while. There are two places where I used to go to play Heroclix in Simi.

One is located in the Target Shopping center on Cochran, past the Trader Joe's and in the corner there's a comic shop, they use to close the store on Thursdays and let people play. It's for fun only and no tournies. The store used to be on the 2nd floor, but have since moved to the 1st floor. Not sure if they still play there or not.

You can also try "A Hidden Fortress" on Los Angeles, next to a 7-11 store. The Asian owner is very nice and helpful, and there's a good base of players when I was there.

Like the other person said, a little further away is Allways Gaming in Chatsworth. Personally, I didn't like that place as there were rumors that the owner was keeping the tourny prizes and selling them. The 2 times I played there, I didn't enjoy it, thus I stopped visiting that place.

Collector's Paradise no longer had HC events when I was still playing, but you might want to check.

Lastly, in Sherman Oaks, Knight's Ware still have HC games on Thursdays at 6pm. (I see it on their google calendar).

anyways, if you're looking for a player to play with or to visit one of the event, you can hit me up at advd4sale @ hotmail I don't mind playing a game or two, still have some old figures...
