Hello Hello. Last night me and my friend had a friendly 500 point battle and we actually ran into three different questions that we would like to find a rulling on.

Question 1: Last night A Magneto was based with the wall of the building and he had figures all around him. Then he wanted to TK Sabertooth forward (parrellel to the building). But sabertooth was right in front of Magnetos line of sight. So the question is if you want to TK a figure do you need to see the final destination before or after you pick up the person.

Question 2: If you knock back Rogue on top of a Building and she is going to fall off for 3 clicks and there is a figure at the base of the building right through the path she is falling does she stay on the building due to the character in her falling path or does she just fly right over them since she is a flyer?

Question 3: If Night crawler wants to go through a enemy figure blocking a one square hallway does he have to go base to base and then next turn attempt to break like normal figures. Or can he just go through the enemy figure right at the start of the first turn if his movement allows it?

1) I believe you still need Line of Fire to the destination square.. So, I believe you need to see the final destination before you 'pick up' the person.

2) This is actually in contention. The ruling on the FAQ should have never made light. They shouldn't have changed this part of the rules though. If a figure gets knocked off a building and there is already another figure on the grounde where they would go, the figure stops at the edge of the building (before entering the grounded square when a figure already occupies) and takes 1 click of damage.

3) Hypersonic Speed will not allow you to ignore the affects of figures. So, he will never be able to move 'over' a figure in a 1 square hallway. He will only ignore all adjacent squares to that figure when moving.

Does this make sense?

That configuration in #1 with all those dudes bunched up would have been a perfect time for EE or pulse wave, eh? ;)

As far as knockback on Rogue, I don't know the answer to your specific question, but I'm pretty sure flyers don't take the 2 clix of damage from the fall, the just stay hovering at ground level. I think that's what the FAQ says.

#3 If NC has phasing at the time, he can go anywhere, but is it's "just" hyperspeed, he can't go through another base. Guess you'd just have to KO that guy blocking the door!

I could have sworn there was a ruling that "Figures that are being moved do not block the line of fire for the figure that is TKing them."

BTW, Tsannik, I don't know if you can bend anyone's ear at WK, but the current FAQ entry:

You must have a clear line of fire to the target of a telekensis attack or the target square of a telekensis move
leaves a good bit to be desired in clarity.

The current text indicates that line of sight is required to make a close combat attack to move an unfriendly figure. Technically according to this passage it is also possible to move an unfriendly figure from adjacent to the TKer to some location that it does not have LOS to.
It would be nice if the phrasing of the FAQ was better.

If you move someone with TK you do not count the passenger when checking LOF. So the Magneto-Sabretooth express would have worked just fine.

If the attack is successful, move the target figure up to 10 squares in any direction, ignoring hindering terrain and figure bases

Yeah I take back what I said... in my point #1.

As per that quote from the FAQ.... figure bases are not considered when drawing Line of Fire to the target square.
