Thugit, Inc.: DC75th Deadshot's Secret Suicide KO Campaign

Like a few other Realmsers out there, I was a big fan of thugit's Vengeance of Bane 2011 thread. Such a big fan, in fact, that it's put me over the edge on picking up Secret Six as one of my monthly pulls at my local shop.

To keep things in the Secret Six family and to honor thugit's epic campaign, I'll be using Deadshot from DC75.

I'm the main tournament organizer at my venue, Paladin's Game Castle. Tonight, however, my back-up took over so I could play a few games. (Thank you, silentscotsman!)

Tonight's scenario was 100 points, Golden Age. I went 2-2* and was awarded fellowship (which I promptly turned down so the other players at the venue could get some prizes). I ran this:

DC75th Deadshot w/ Suppressive Fire
Alfred pog

The battlefield conditions I used were Deep Shadows, Wasteland, and Infiltration (in that order).

KOs for the evening: 5

Unfortunately, I won't be able to use Floyd next Wednesday night as the scenario calls for players to build a team around a generic keyword that we each have pulled out of a hat. None of Floyd's keywords are generic:

Checkmate, Gotham City, Secret Six, Suicide Squad

I do get to honor my other promise to play at least one Secret Six member on each of my teams until after San Diego Comic-Con: I'll be running a scientist team with JL Lex Luthor.

Saturday's event is the same format as Wednesday's: 100 points, Golden Age. I want to change up my build.

I can add either a R Checkmate Agent or a R Gotham Policeman. I'm leaning toward the policeman, to represent Floyd's time trying to fool Gothamites into thinking he was a new crimefighter.

Either one will give me a named keyword (Checkmate or Gotham City), something I didn't have on Wednesday.

Afterward, I participated in a free-for-all on the Crisis Dawn of Man map against six other players. Dropped the Gotham Policeman in favor of a Lian Harper pog, Lois Lane (Crisis) pog, and the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak special object (to make things interesting).

Floyd got in two more killshots before an M-11 finally took him out:

So I need to come up with a team for SDCC. Planning to play against Wade Wilson and Munchoboy. So far, we've agreed to 400 points. Wade prefers Golden Age and I'm fine with any format. (Lawton wouldn't care how he gets his killshots; why should I?)

I have a few ideas in mind for Golden Age. A Suicide Squad/Secret Six team from the Blackest Night crossover would be interesting...

After a fairly lengthy hiatus, Floyd returned to action tonight and picked up another killshot.

Squirrel Girl may have defeated Dr. Doom, Thanos, and Deadpool but Deadshot unloaded his wrist magnums into her and Monkey Joe. :devious:

I was able to get in a bye round match on Saturday after a player dropped out before the third round. Wonder Woman and the Secret Six made short work of Captain America, Winter Soldier, Nick Fury, and friends.

Finally was able to get Mr. Lawton some work over the weekend. The format was 100 points, no feats, battlefield conditions or event dials.

During bye rounds, I ran:

DC75 Deadshot w/ Checkmate ATA
Mary Jane pog

Big flaw in my plan was... I only had one action to use. So it was no go in having Mary Jane copy Checkmate and use the ATA to pump up Floyd's damage. I was able to pull off the trick on his defense a few times, though...

Still, Deadshot managed to pick up three more killshots. :devious:

As much as I would love for that to happen, Unless Beyond is a chase and not the Unique LE, Jeanette is probably not coming :/

Finally got another bye-round match in with Floyd, Black Alice, King Shark, and Max Lord (99 point version). UNSC training ain't that great; Black Alice took down a Master Chief with a big hammer. Deadshot took out a Spartan with "Dual Needlers" in two hits.

"Dual Needlers." Pfft.
