Attack of the Squirrels! (thugit, inc)

She's got quite a rep in the comics, so it's almost time to see if she can get a similar rep on the Heroclix battlefield.

In the comics she has defeated: Dr. Doom, Thanos, Mandarin, MODOK, Giganto, Terrax, Bi-Beast, Bug-Eyed Voice, Deadpool, Pluto, Fin Fang Foom, Baron Mordo, Korvac and Ego the Living Planet!

This thread will be for seeing if Doreen Green can rack up the KOs, a la thugit's Vegeance of Bane. Of course, Doreen will have help from her little furry friends, especially Monkey Joe!

GOOD NEWS! Captain America finally hit the shores of Australia yesterday! I didn't pull a SG in my brick, but managed to trade for her, so now I'm ready to get this started!

Yeah I actually thought of that last night. I think Nightshade with Squirrel Girl will be a fun girl-power combination. Injecting Doreen herself will be nice- BCF and Exploit is always a good combo.

Hey there Heroclix players!

My name is Squirrel Girl, and guess what, I now have my very own Heroclix Collectable MiniatureTM

Today I played my first match with it. I was teamed up with that amazing hero, Commander Steve Rogers...the man who used to be called Captain America. There was also a terribly mysterious guy who goes by the Black Panther, Jack Flag and some girl called Slingshot on my side.

It was a three way match where I faced a team full of my old Team mates on one side, including a different Squirrel Girl. They also had my friends Mr. Immortal and Doorman, and a former GLAer from before my time Hawkeye. For some reason they also had that evil, evil man with them....Deadpool.

On the other side was a team if really bad guys. Sabretooth, Blob and Juggernaut. They also had a little green kid with them that steals powers.

So it started out well enough. Deadpool and Hawkeye shot at Sabretooth. The other Squirrel Girl sent her Monkey Joe to try and pick up a shiny red gem that was on the map, but Juggernaut didn't like that idea. Apparently he seemed to have some kind of claim on the gem himself, so he flattened her squirrel! Poor thing! That really annoyed me.

My ally the Black Panther charged at Juggernaut and was able to take his helmet off of him and do a fair bit of damage. I followed him in and easily KOed the Juggernaut for my very first KO. What a great start to this ongoing fight.

Doorman then dropped the other Squirrel Girl onto the gem. My friends Steve, Jack and the Panther tried to attack her but she easily evaded their attacks. But no one understands me better than me! I managed to knock her down a little, and then Steve was able to hurt her some more. She had learned from experience by now though, and managed to avoid quite a few more attacks before I finally got the last lick in.

Meanwhile, Deadpool had been slowly wearing down the Blob. My Monkey Joe ran off to try and finish Hawkeye, who had been hurt by Steve earlier. Hawkeye ended up pushing to KO on the Monkey Joe instead, silly man! Doorman managed to hurt Slingshot a bit, eventually KOing her, but meanwhile Me, Steve and Panther all went after Deadpool as well. He took down the Blob, but then we got him to his last click. He managed to do a a Flurry/Blades combo, taking out Black Panther and then hurting me with the second attack. Mr. Immortal came back from the dead again and got in Steve's way too. It wasn't looking good for us, and my figure was on only an 8 attack with Blades/Claws/Fangs.

BUT then....I rolled and hit Deadpool with a Critical Hit! I only got a 2 for my blades roll, but with the Critical Hit AND knocking Deadpool into the edge of the Map I took out that evil, evil man once more. I must admit, even though I don't condone violence in any way, there is a certain satisifaction in beating him. Steve finished Mr. Immortal, while Jack took out Doorman and it was all over!

What a fun game!

Wow, Doreen is already racking up the same impressive KO list as she does in the comics!! Boooo!! Koing Deadpool!! Boooo!! :p:p

Her defeating Juggernaut first is great. Love how you have written it, all from her perspective.

Hey gang! Played a couple more games on the weekend. First up was 300pt match with my pals the Great Lakes Avengers.

Now since Big Bertha and Flatman were strangely missing from the Cap Set, we had a couple of modded standins on the team. Bertha was on a Blob dial and Flatman was on an old rookie Plastic Man. Even then, there was a lot of points left, so we got feated up. Mr. I had Automatic Regeneration and I had Monster Hunter, Vendetta, Vault and And Stay Down! on. There was still 4 points left so the Forbush Man bystander token joined up- he's a pretty good fit for the team. :)

Our opponent ran an AIM theme team with MODOK, Batroc the Leaper, Yelena Belova and a couple of AIM Agents. I've taken out MODOK and Batroc before so I was excited about getting a rematch. I chose MODOK for Vendetta of course. Sadly he doesn't have the monster keyword or giant symbol, despite being a freaky enormous head, so Monster Hunter was no use to me.

We also had Mjolnir on the map. Bertha tried to pick it up, but wasn't worthy. I sent Monkey Joe to tie up Yelena, while Doorman carried Mr.I up to the AIM Agents. Batroc tried and failed to take out Monkey Joe, while Mr.I got KOed by MODOK. While they kept them all busy, I tried to pick up Thor's hammer but also wasn't worthy. Bertha then charged Yelena with a Heavy but she missed. Yelena started wearing Bertha down, but Monkey Joe kept Batroc busy for ages.

MODOK attacks Doorman, almost KOing him in one hit, and an AIM Agent finished him off. Then Mr.I came back and had a good fight with the AIM Agents, eventually taking them out. MODOK moved in and KOed Flatman in one hit thanks to knockback, and Forbush Man moved in to tie up the giant head. Yelena finally got my poor dear Monkey Joe and Batroc KOed Forbush Man. I got another squirrel to go help Bertha in her struggle against that evil russian blonde, then I decided it was time to take the fight to the giant head. Mr.I came from the other side to help me, so it was me and him versus MODOK and Batroc. I expoited MODOK's weakness, but that gave him his nasty pulse wave power that ignores AIM characters. So he started pulse waving like crazy, hurting me, Mr.I and Bertha for a click every time he did it. Mr.I got KOed again, and I kept attacking the big head while Batroc kept missing me. Bertha finally fell to Yelena, but the Black Widow wannabe was badly hurt. I ended up pushing to take out the big head! So now it was down to Mr.I and myself versus Batroc and Yelena. Mr.I needed an 11 to hit Batroc and got it, then hit him again taking him off his funny leaping power. I went to finish off Yelena, but she got me instead....how sad. Mr.I went and finished her off, but them Batroc leaped over to the magic hammer....and picked it up! Mr.I was in trouble now! Batroc had that Flurry power now, with 4 damage, so he made short work of Mr.Immortal.

It was a close game, but we lost. At least I got MODOK though! That's always fun.
