Hi Everybody!! Just here with a few updates that Everyone will want to know about. As you all may know the Tourney is currently full until Gencon, but what you may have missed or just didnt know is that even if you dont play in the main event you can still win prizes. How? Well there are two ways to get in on the action before it even starts....wanna know more read below.

Just in case you didnt know there will be a raffle after the BATTLE FOR THE GEMS (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=317263)event. Participants as well as spectators will have the opportunity to buy raffle tickets as the event begins. But before the event begins here are two ways to get a hold of these wonderful tickets:

MINE ALL MINE!!!! At any time during Gencon, but before the start of the BATTLE FOR THE GEMS EVENT (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=317263), anyone that gives me a Larfleeze will get a ticket free. Why Larfleeze? Well if we collect at least 45 all 5 Con Exclusives (3 Horsemen, Wonder Woman and Moonstone) will be added to the Prize Pool. If we fall short of 45, 1 figure from the set will be added for every 10 Larfleeze collected. So get out there and hunt that fuzzy Orange Lantern down. He might just land you that Wonder Woman of your DREAMS.

2nd Annual Social Event: Come on down to the 2nd Annual Social Event @ the Spaghetti Factory. Ask for me (Dweez009) there and collect a free raffle ticket. There are only 20 tickets to be had so come early and stay awhile. This is a great chance to meet people, take a break from gaming and enjoy a nice meal. These are two great opportunities for the chance to get some cool stuff and meet some really cool people, so come on down and hang with us. It'll be great fun for everyone. If you read this bump it to spread the word.

RULES
Build your best 267pt Modern Age team with one exception you may also use Supernova figures to build this team. Before each match an Infinity Gauntlet token will be placed in a the middle of the Map. Each gauntlet can be picked up by giving a character that occupies an adjacent square to it a power action. Then roll one D6. On a result of 1 or 6 that character now has the gautlet, and must roll another D6 to determine which gem they may use. The powers go as follows:

1-Power Gem. This Character may use Charge and Super Strength.
2-Time Gem. This Character may use Flurry and Super Senses.
3-Space Gem. This Character may use Phase/Teleport and Telekinesis.
4-Reality Gem. This Character may use Support and Probability Control.
5-Soul Gem. This Character may use Steal Energy and Regeneration.
6-Mind Gem. This character may use Mind Control and Willpower.

If at anytime a character holding the Infinity Gauntlet takes damage from a close combat attack where the opposing character rolls doubles, the attacking character now has the Infinity Gauntlet and must roll to see what powers the now have. If a character is KOed while holding the Infinity Gauntlet the opposing team will be awarded 25 pts and the Gauntlet is placed in the KOed characters square. At the end of the game the team that has the Infinity Gauntlet will be awarded 25 pts.

Those are the Rules now here are the important details.

DETAILS
When: Saturday Aug. 6th 2011 from 8pm-12:30 am possibly 12am.
Where: Near the Wizkids tables.
Who: The first 45 people to register through HCRealms (just drop a line here (http://hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=317263))
How: 4 rounds of 40 minutes Top 8 will receive prizes.
Why: For the top 8 players we will get HCRealms T-Shirts, Grid Reality Maps, an LE, a TRU exclusive Colossal and for the Top overall player well have A complete set of TRU exclusives.
there will be an optional raffle ticket purchase for the same fee for the LEs not taken by the Top 8.

What LEs? you may be asking right now well as prizes for free tournys go this is pretty friggin big. For the top 8 players we will get HCRealms Ts and Exclusive Grid Reality Maps, a TRU exclusive Colossal and for the Top overall player well have A complete set of TRU exclusives. Still no mention of LEs well wait for it.....

As of now well have 32 LEs so along with TRUs each of the top 8 will receive 1 LE figure at random (the be in brown paper bags) the Winner will receive 2. The rest of the LEs will be raffled of until theyre all gone.90% of the LEs are from modern sets which include but arent limited to GSX, WoS, DC75th and BotB.

How do I get these wonderful raffle tickets? is what i bet you're asking yourself now....well when you register for the event you'll be asked if you'd like to buy the raffle tickets they're $3 each and you may buy up to 3 per person. Its very important that you know that you must be there to win the raffle prizes so even if you go 0-4 you still have a chance to win. Oh and one of the Final Raffle prizes will be a Complete set of GSX Colossals so come out stay, meet people, play some clix and WIN Some FIGGIN AWESOME STUFF!!!

OH YEAH ONE MORE THING!!! JOIN us at the Social Event and get one free raffle ticket, so even if you're not playing you can win some prizes.

Anyone can join but spaces are limited. I think there are about 20 spaces left for non-realms members but they have to sign up at the con on Fri. and Sat.

What do you mean? All of the constructed events (Brave team up, Golden Age battle etc.) are all full. The grinders and Battle Royales however are not.

Limited amount of seats for each event. Kind of dumb. My wife and I have tickets to only a few of the Golden Age events. I am happy to fill the rest with King of the Hill and Battle Royales though.

Those are sealed events I think, Im pretty sure actually, as a matter of fact they are sealed events. Not constructed.

I had to laugh though. I've had set up for our local venue's game coming up in a few weeks a similar game, involving all 6 gems on face down tokens all on the board in a Battle Royal. Kinda funny this one is going on a month later.
