Gideon's KO List

So after I missed Thursday Night, I started my Mission tonight at Dragon's Lair comics here in Omaha..

Tonight's build was 600 golden age. I teamed Gideon(with auto regen) and his Annoying friends.(It's hard to build around his Keywords)

HoT Venom, SI Impossible Man, 75th Ragdoll, FF Abin Sur, GF Abin Sur, GSX
Psylocke, And his best pal Bullseye.

I lost the first match which was against GL's. Gideon and Bullseye just couldn't hit(his Sinestro w/20 def thanks to me Ko'ing Abin sur) and I couldn't hit a shape change roll to safe My life( Or Venom's, Ragdoll's, Or Impossible Man's). The GF Abin and Psylocke dealt the most damage from my team.

Second match was against a team of 75th Aquaman, BD Aquaman, SI Namor, Atlantean Warrior x2, Ocean Master, And 75th Mera. My team did much better this time around. And Gideon taking RS from Bullseye, Shooting. Next turn take will power from Abin and charge is a great combo. Grabbing combat reflexes and Exploit also was a determing factor

Took out Namor, BD Aquaman, Mera, 75th Aquaman, and An Atlantean Warrior and ocean master ...

Turn's out our Former Ceo doesn't like sushi to much, Cuz he cut his way through them and then ordered some Saki.

We'll with the guys back from origins, Gideon will make it to more games this week. Any idea's on good figs to use him with.

P.S. the best Power steal Gideon pulled of IMO was taking Regen from Mera at the begining of my turn and then Auto regening to full..

So I got to enjoy 1 game thursday night, But Gideon had a great showing..


It was 400 points, Modern. So I teamed Gideon up with Thor, Talia and the gem and yellow lantern.

Played against the FF Starter. Gideon took out the Thing, Human Torch and Mr. Fantastic, Unfortunatly he tried to be the smooth Suave Ceo he thinks he is and seduce Sue, But she punked him like a Bad Ashton Kutcher show...


So not bad
Gideon's record; 3 games, 9 KO's. So off to a good start.

He's a good fig, depending on who you bring with him, but the most fun is using your enemies powers against them. It's not as "Cheezy" as Rogues energy absorbsion, but He's really a beast for his points....

His only down fall is really his keywords(well for theme player's, as I for one don't really care aboot theme all that much) with only Past and External, there's good pieces out there for him(well in past anyways, Where's my Cannonball with the External's keyword please). But don't trap yourself in by the keywords, oh and Wade is a great companion for him as well.... Perplex, running shot super senses, prob. Wade is probably the fig that would help Gideon the most( but stealing running shot and the 10 range from say Thor also shocks your opponent).

But I still wish they would introduce a CEO/Owner Keyword so I can team him with the likes of Bruce, Luke Cage, Danny Rand, Sunfire, and Lex and Tony + others that own businesses

The hilarity here is that I have been wanting to do some 2 character team ups for 300pts or less. Gideon was one of the ones I wanted to try out.

Got to play a quick pick up game today against a buddy I don't get to play too often.

he played soldiers, Supes, Cap, Bucky Cap, Uncle Sam, 2x Howling Commando and Domino

I threw Gideon on a team with Red skull(gf) Hydra(Gf) Doomsday, and 2 Symbiotes w Auto regen on Gideon.

First thing I would like to say... if Gideon could steal Abilities, he would be Borken, Seriously....

He added Superman 75th(emo), Cap(Bucky gf), Uncle Sam, Both Commandos and Domino, while doomsday dealt with HoT Cap.

Gideon's Total: 4 games, 14 KO's(not counting figs twice, so only 1 commando Counts)

Here in Chicago, Ignatz_Mouse, BigMike99 and I are part of a Heroclix fantasy draft league, where each player drafts 20 figures from the modern age. Half are heroes, the other half is Villains/Neutral. I drafted Gideon with my 4th pick and haven't looked back. He's outstanding. My 1st pick (Skrullvel) I've only fielded twice, but I've fielded Gideon all but once.

This week he finished off Zoom and WL Flash. He has helped me take down Cosmic Spidey (didn't get the finishing blow but definitely played a role). He's taken out Thorbuster and more that I can't remember off the top of my head.

Yeah, he's great. Kudos to you, sir, for bringing this awesome figure into the spotlight.

Only got to Play Gideon in one tourney this week(darn life and kid, lol) My team didn't fare as well as I thought it would, But Gideon managed to get a little Revenge from his first game finally. FF Sinestro. He also added FF Green Lantern, Sabretooth, and a Cypher...

Got sealed Thursday, The OMAHA SUMMER SPECTACULAR tournament on Saturday At Ground Zero Omaha(Hoping for better than 4th this time around, but i can't complain). And more sealed the following week. So I'm not sure the next time I'll play him(but I do have a team with him on it for Saturday if I make the finals that I'm contemplating)

I will be looking for who his new partner is going to be. I have a feeling He's gonna find someone and they will both become a part of this venture.

Gideon has been my favorite/ most frequently played click from GSX since he came out - other than Beast, who is a close second.

My favorite moment - so far - was watching Gideon take down Juggernaut. Just imagining that in comic book format is epic to me.
