This came up last night, and I think I ruled right, just making sure.

Nightcrawler went for a HSS attack (continous without moving). He hit the medic 4 times, then rolled (1,1).

Does the whole attack fail? Do the four clicks go through and the critical hurt Nightcrawler for one?

I ruled the second, the medic took the four successful attacks, and NC took one for a critical miss.

I agree with you. He hit for times, then made a mistake and pulled a muscle. Those four hits count & he takes a clix.

I think you ruled correctly. The HSS rules say that you continue to roll attacks until you either choose to stop, the character is knocked back, or the character misses. A critical miss is still a miss, so the other hits would still get through, he just missed the last one. Which makes sense, if you picture, he starts wailing on a guy, and because he's moving so fast, he over extends himself on one hit and lands on his face. So the first couple blows would land before he smacks himself.

That's how I would have interpreted it to be.
