At first I didn't like this guy, but after playing him a few times I've found him to be a very competent secondary attacker, his one major flaw is that 2nd flurry click where he has only 1 damage, if it was a 2 instead of a 1 we would be a 5-star figure, as he stands I rate him at 4 stars with a 2 for comic accuracy because he shouldn't have below 2 damage at any time even when he first started out as cap.

I can understand giving Captain America ESD but I would prefer him having ESD and CR together, at least on the first click. Great deal for 50pts but I agree the Skrull, he should always be able to deal 2+ damage per hit. Sculpt is a 4 for me because he is the smallest figure in the GF set.

He's baby cap! I wish the sculptors would all get on the same page with the scale of their pieces.

This guy is great for the points. Pushing to charge in from the first click help him close the distance and make him a harder target to hit. The times that I have used him, I never landed on that dreaded 5th click. However, that click does seem very out of place for a former sleeper-cell killing machine. Maybe, remove the Flurry from that click and add Blades/Claws/Fangs? (He does carry one.)

Meh. This piece is alright, but... for the same cost you can do way better. SI Spider-Man and DC75 Warlord are both significantly better investments for the cost. There's nothing actually WRONG with this piece; you can just do better.

He's more flexible than Warlord is, (up top, anyway) as he can charge AND has a range attack he can bust invulnerability with (on top click), and he's more mobile than Spidey, but pound for pound the significantly higher damage output of those other pieces makes them such notably better pieces that this guy, for me anyway, would hardly ever see the light of day.

After playtesting him, I found that he was a useful figure for just 50 points. I mean 6 clicks of life and great stats on click 4 makes him a great figure for just 50 points... He might not be the figure of choice for your main attacker, but is a great secondary attacker.

For starters, comparing any 50-point piece in the game to SI Spider-Man means it's going to lose. Spidey is just too good for the points.

That said, I really like what you get here for the points. Decent mobility, later-dial defense powers, and the ability to crack invul/imperv on more than half his clix are all great. His numbers aren't bad, and he's got some of the best keywords around. He's obviously not a primary attacker, but he isn't a shabby harrasment/clean-up piece.

Plus, when I look at his dial I think Heightened Reflexes and Lunge.

Seems okay. Pretty average, but he offers some interesting options. Might be amazing with a Defend buddy. Sculpt is kind of off-scale. Parking him in some hindering with a few SHIELD team ability goons to pump up his damage might make him a great harasser.

hmmm for 50 points he is not bad at all. That being said a 17 starting defense would have made him much better.

@ AdamWarlock - I think this cap vs warlord could go either way. Caps got range and longer charge. If he can get a shot at warlord before warlord bases him warlord is almost done. If he gets based he can push for a better defense.

As a buddy of mine was telling me when we were discussing the GF figs, this Cap would be great with Armor Piercing for Golden Age. I'd also throw in a Not So Special to ensure a good AV down his dial. As many others here have said, for 50 points this guy is a great secondary attacker and harassment piece. For 63 points, he's even better!

He's got the curse of some of the old Caps - charge with ESD on the first click. It makes sense - hard to shoot at him from a distance with that shield of his, and then he runs in and punches you. But put Running Shot on that first click with a lower move value - say 8 or 7 - and reduce the damage to 2. Drop Super Strength, put 3 damage on that second click and turn that 11 AV to a 10 and I bet he'd be the same points, but a lot more accurate and playable. That said, I'm sure I will field him a lot - he's very nice for 50 points.

This guy single handedly took down the steve rogers from the regular cap set. Love him. Love his keywords. Great filler that you don't feel comically inaccurate fielding.

This guy plus Steve Rogers, Brick Cap and Ice Cap create a perfect 300 point Steve Rogers teams. It's magnificent. America? Eff yeah.
