Today we spotlight one of the Motherland’s most celebrated soldiers with a career spanning years of service! While he is sometimes a foe and sometimes an ally to his armored American counterpart, there is no denying he is a hero for the Russian people. We are pleased to present the Crimson Dynamo!

Crimson Dynamo comes to the game ready for battle and armored to fight for the people! His early-dial opens with Running Shot as he manuevers into position to soften up his target with Energy Explosion while Impervious (and then Invulnerability) protects him from his foes’ retaliatory attacks.[...]

I love this dial.

First, he's got the :d-indomitable: indomitable ability with a strong defense.

Then, as a ranged attacker and flier he's got Stealth. Sit in Hindering and SHOOT! If you get shot, you pick up some LoF blockage.

The robot hunter SP is just a really nice, comic accurate bonus.

And it looks like he's costed to work well with the other Soviets! W00t!

I'll probably keep him to play with Iron Man and the rest of my Armor Keyword team, but not jazzed about the character.

Excellent representation. The opening 3 damage keeps him from being "too much" with that Indomitable and 18-Imperv behind it. I love that special - it's nice to see a piece geared towards shooting all those darn robots. Attack that never dips below 9 and good damage-dealing spread out down the dial... with Indomitable this guy is well worth those points.

That's a pretty devastating mid-dial attack vs. Robot/Armor characters. 12/11 AV at 3/4 damage, penetrating? If it weren't for the Indomitable, I'd consider him highly pushable under the right circumstances. (though I suppose that it depends on the definition of being 'pushable' in the first place).

Nice fig, but he's missing one thing:

That is a nice solid piece. Nothing fancy, but he's Russian & they don't do fancy. Very nice sculpt also. He does the Motherland proud.

Wow. I really like him. Great Damage potential, good stats and INDOMITABLE!? I'm sold. Plus a character I like on a team I'm interested in? Love it. I think he will be indispensable in sealed, and very fun in constructed.

The dial design seems fitting. He jets in without really getting his bearings and lays down suppression fire. Getting whalloped just helps him identify the biggest threat and unless they hit him really hard, it will just knock him on to his most dangerous clicks.

The only thing I dislike a little bit is the opening three damage at 146 points. But that's a minor point, since they're fairly clearly building up to a 400 point Winter Guard and I expect Darkstar to have Perplex or Enhancement

I like him. He doesn't seem to have the raw stats to be a primary attacker, and he's on the expensive side to be a secondary attacker, but he's VERY durable. With any support he could be a solid foundation for a team. Unsupported I probably wouldn't except in 600+ points, but that's kind of common sense.

I sure hope we're going to get a Thundra, she'll have the Lady Liberators keyword! I seriously can't wait for that keyword to play out to it's entirety,
and see how it goes.

As for Crimson Dynamo? I'm much happier with this dial than I expected to be. I suppose we'll probably end up seeing Darkstar with some defense cracking abilities and damage.

I loved fielding the older version(I'm a bit of a robot/armor fan).
This piece, while not the sculpt I was hoping for, is pretty fantastic in my eyes.
Stoked to get it in to some theme teams.

My top want of this set, and that was before this preview! And now that I've seen the stats, WOW!
This fig is terrific in every way! That sculpt is superb! The dial is astounding, And now my Russian armor team has a brick with Indomitable!

This guy is sick for the points. Plenty of points leftover in a 300 point team for some nasty support. I would push past the first two clix then blast away from stealth.

Lovely, lovely piece. A worthy adversary for Iron Man! I wanted the Winter Guard when they were mentioned on the promo poster, and so far I am not disappointed! Now if the Darkstar has a blonde LE repaint and Vanguard is a chase, I'll be in heaven... :)

Funny you should say that... I was just thinking that with an extra 25 points put towards Fortitude, he can actually go toe to toe with the Extremis Iron Man. Is he too cheap for what he can accomplish? In areas where the robot keyword is popular, maybe. But I really don't mind seeing another classic antagonist that does something other than roll over and die when his nemesis appears.

i already decided against a case when the set list was spoiled, why bother picking this up when every other set id going to destroy them, i get the whole underpowered human theme thing, but this is an armored guy in a super suit it should have a fighting chance... but those 10's just aren't going to compete with Wos, Gsx or dc75th for that matter and hes 100+ points.. just seems like i could be better spent on older clix with more damage capabilities, unless a case comes with loaded dice to make sure you can hit those 18,19,20 defenses my interest in this set is continueing to drop

I thought for sure we would get a Iron man in this set. I guess we did i just did'nt think it would be the twisted Soviet version of him. Oh well you know what they say, Moio sudno na vozdušnoy poduške polno ugrey. so welcome aboard Tavárishch your sculpt might be boring and for the most part a remodel of the old one from long time forgotten, but your a solid piece for the points and someone i will be happy to play with.

Well, the new version of Super Adaptoid sure didn't need this dial introduced in the same set as him! If you play him in sealed, you better hope your opponent isn't fielding the all-new Dynamo.

If you check out the Armor and Robot keywords in the units section, you'll see that Crimson Dynamo's release comes hot on the heals of a LOT of popular characters sporting the necessary text from the more recent and still legal Marvel sets. I can see the Dynamo's introduction giving players planning to play such clix a bit of pause when building their force. Special powers aside, while certain stats may not stand out, between the Indomitable, steady values and Movement powers, this clix will be a lot more reliable than many others in the price range whose usefulness is much more conditional.

Great sculpt. Great dial. Great re-make. Great reason to buy into the Captain America set.

Long dial, big damage potential, great SP. Very straightforward piece that can easily hold it's own in the 150 point weightclass. Wait what....M-11 is only 59 points? Still i think it's the indomitable and opening click IMP that make this click shine.

Here's a trick: pair up HoT Cap with 4 - 6 SHIELD Agents. Park him next to Dum Dum Dugan for the Leadership/token thing, have him shoot behind the Stealthed (LMD) Agents, and voila! 5 - 6 Damage for up to two targets, repeatable as long as the Leadership holds out.

See? No HSS or oober needed. :)

The combo above gets even sillier in Golden Age, as you can slap Inspiring Command on Dum Dum and REALLY get some mileage out of Cap!
