Glad we finally got another Viper. The 6pts spent on the Serpent Society ata is what makes the other 91pts worth it.

Man, this range cripples viper. Only 3? If it was 6 or even 5 it would be a lot better.

Apparently Hydra just bought a whole bunch of janky guns because Madame Hydra as a master markswoman somehow traded her sniper rifle in for a BB gun with the 3 range (and Strucker with his 4 range). She also uses laser pistols but apparently they are of the puzzling extremely short range variety.

i think this version isnt using any guns the 3 range represents her using the whip she has and the energy explosion is actually blades for the big sword on her back

Obviously she's holding the whip but no I think a whip would be pretty much 1 range, and I would think a big sword would be blades.

I played her tonight as part of a 400 point Hellfire team with Magneto and some Hellfire guards. She absolutely mad the team amazing. Opponent tried to seal her off from the rest of my team so she couldn't use brilliant tactician, and she just used the Serpent Society ATA to slip right on through it to rejoin her buddies. For anybody who thinks the points aren't worth the fig, I say you're doing it wrong.

The whip sounds about right at a 3 range as Sydney from Danger Girls has a 2 range for rookie and 4 for experience and Vet and they also have a whip. Great figure by the way.

With a sculpt that looks better than a lot of others we've seen recently, and a dial that's deadly on every click, why wouldn't you want to play this piece? Hydra TA + Stealth is great for backing up ranged attackers. Poison provides a disincentive for opponents to base them. Use her defensively, let her back up your friends and bide her time--she'll see her fair share of action.

Look At Hellfire Club Guards, or you can even do it with Richard Fisk's special power to Mastermind to Hydra Characters.

I have a soft spot for Poison pieces, and Viper's Toughness/Shape Change defenses can easily be supplemented by Mastermind from other pieces (Hellfire Guards, Fisk) increasing her threat potential. She's not much use against the Invulnerable types except to pick at them... however they made sure to give her a nasty surprise as if you're willing to give up Shape Change you can use Perplex on click 2 to start hitting those bricks harder.
The 11 (possibly 12)-attack BCF click and then the one with Outwit means she is a very serious threat up close after a mild hit. A stronger hit will oddly turn her into a ranged piece (PB, ES/D) which is a little awkward since she's still likely to be based... time to breakaway pr Phase if you can. Her very last click puts you in a position to do the Outwit/Poison thing, but don't be tempted: she will crumple from any attention up close. Only use it as discouragement and instead try to position for a 3-range shot.
