She's gorgeous. This lovely phasing hebrew lady, is the new cornerstone of getting the X-men team power to work right.

First Slot: Move 8-Phasing
Attack 10-Incapacitate (oh yeah this is post-Ogun traing)
(from the kitty pryde and wolverine mini where she's
Trained to be a ninja)
Defense 17-Super Senses
Damage- 2
No range but she flies.

Judges and old school players that have old LE's here the army to make them quake: Le:Kitty Pryde (51), Le:Jean Grey (59), and Un: Nightcrawler (83). That's a one hundred and Ninety-three point Pure X-men army for the 200 pointer tournaments.

Not only does jean have support, but both Nightcralwer and Kitty, ignore enemy figures to get TO jean. Kitty plays taxi to get jean out of trouble, (and yes like vision she can phase WITH a friend). You also have jean's Telekenisis to launch Nightcrawler into position for him to do his Multi-hit-Hypersonic-Speed attack. Finally if Jean loses her support, the other two can give them thier health slots via the X-men Team power, which- aside from giving her support back, makes the healing roll easier to do.

Best of all, your two main fighters, Nightcrawler & Kitty have Really high defenses (17 & 18) and Both of them have super senses, so laying a hand on the teleporting-Phasing duo, is not so easy to do. Kiss our big mutant butts FF!

Battle report:

Okay, after some danger room sequences (after today's tournament, This team took on some of the eliminated teams)

They are nasty indoors. Kitty Pryde's ability to grab jean and move her up to two rooms away, Spend several rounds using the x-men team power to give her clix to jean, get jean's support back up, and by then the roll jean needs to make to heal kitty is easy. If any X-man can occupy a group of characters, It's Nightcrawler.

Another great combo, is the fact that between kitty's phasing, and nightcrawler's HS and PH, this group never rolls breakaway. You send the newly healed kitty, to pick up nightcrawler, and likewise pull him through the walls out of combat, and back to jean.

Once the enemy gets to you again, you are all healed up. It's a great pop and run army, with a trio of characters who work that way in the game and comics. (hit & run is a classic Kitty/Nightcrawler tactic from the Clarimont 80's)

All told, I've never got the X-men team ability (or the Titans ability) to work that well before. It proved to be both useful and crucial with these three. If you play Kitty as a taxi right, and focus on keeping jean's support up, it works.


Also: if you up the game to 300 pts. throw in red white queen for 90 pts, trust me. Some folks complain that pushing her to the invlunerable/outwit slot is a pain, BUT you can ealisy pass off those clix via the X-men team power, to Jean, to balance Jean's constant pushing, to keep everybody standing. After Emma's at the "sweet spot" she's in position for Jean to TK that outwit to the most useful spot.


In other Words the Danger room sequences were satisfactory today. The X-men showed exceptional teamwork, and the Professor and I are looking foreward to see Henry and Bobby very soon.

So she has incapacitate w/ no range, that doesnt sound very good. Everything else seems good except that.

Bileve it or not, that 0 range incapacitate turned out to be crucial in dealing with invulnerable foes. Keep them pinned with kitty, and have her incapacitate the invulnerable ones when they've taken an action. It may take a few rounds, but this team took out the yellow FF using this tactic. It was the ONLY way around Ben Grimm's Invoulnerability.

The odds of Jean and Emma being a team anytime soon is pretty unlikely.
