Ran across this post on the WK forum of another "list". This one at least has the appearance of being "legit". I'm not claiming it is, but several of the figures that have been confirmed plus ones I know that exist due to some insider information, are listed. What does everyone think?

Best way to tell if it's legit or not will be how long the post is actually up for viewing here......the longer it's up, the less likely that it's legit......I'm just going with how these things have worked on this site before.....seems that whenever they take these type of posts down quickly that the list is actually pretty accurate......case in point, the aforementioned "pineapple", which was only up for a very brief time....and the "pineapple" proved to be pretty close to 100% accuracy (at least the one I have was really close).

Magenta was known as Frances Kate. I think she was involved with the Teen Titans and also with the Flash, and I believe she was a villian.

I would expect to see at least one Legion of Superheros character on a legit list.

Bizzaro is on the list as #91, a Unique. As for the Titans, Superboy, Wonder Girl, Robin, Starfire and Raven will all be in the "New" Teen Titans (no more Young Justice) coming out this summer. Though the Drones and the Queen Bee seem a little strange, it's just odd enough to make it seem like one of those odd choices that the design team would make. The list is still pretty cool even if there are no Legionaires.:(

About Magenta, yes shes FAncis Caine, and she was involved with Wally West for quite some time.
She 1st appeared in the New Teen Titans as a girl whose magnetic powres were beyond her control, and was persecuted as a demon by her mother.
She eventually ahd appeared to gain control of her powers, but as it turned out there was a dark side to her using her powers , and shes now completely nuts...

I'm just happy to see Black Canary on the list...it will be interesting to see where they place her considering her twisted history. If they do the whole mother/daughter thing then it could be Rookie / JSA, Experienced / JLA, and Veteran / Batman Ally...then again if they just go with the current pretty bird then it would be Rookie / JLA, Experienced / JSA and Veteran / Batman Ally...guess we'll see.

It'll be Dinah or her mother, just like we've got the Carter Hall Hawkman only, and Tim Drake, and #### Grayson seperately.
THey've been really good at sticking with that so far and I don't imagine it'll change any time soon.

True...it would be out of the mold to do a mother/daughter thing with Black Canary. At the very least it would be nice to something like they did with Invisible Girl/Woman with the three different sculpts...Black Canary with the fishnets and bolero jacket and her current look from Birds of Prey. If they skip past that awful look from the eighties that's fine with me.

I will say I am very irritated about one thing...if this list is true. I'm sick and tired of having a dozen uniques in a 96 figure set. Its truly stupid and totally ridiculous to FORCE people to basically get two sets of basic figures for one set of uniques. I thought the first DC struck a good balance, as did the first Marvel set. The second Marvel set was ridiculous. I achieved my first set of Clobberin time and only had 6 of the uniques at that time. I fully expect the same thing with Xplosion, being only a 96 figure set. I mean, seriously, the ONLY reason that you would make that many uniques in that small of a set is to force buyers into a marketing scheme that requires lengthy and costly purchases for a set. I give Wizkids a big thumbs down on this marketing plan. Geez, like their sales aren't big enough as it is.

Well, originally CT was supposed to be 100 figures - 90 r/e/v & 10 uniques. This is born out by the fact that the LEs start at 101. For some unexplained reason it was decided to make Nightcrawler & Nick Fury into uniques, requiring no more or less scuplts but throwing the balance of uniques off. So at first this wasn't a marketing ploy. However, since they've stayed with that breakdown it is a marketing ploy with X-plosion.

Personally, I'm hoping for a larger set of DC just because there are so few DC figures compared to the vast number of Marvel figs.

For the sake of playing devil's advocate, there is more than one Titan on the list. Starfire, Wonder Girl and Raven are all Titans. The list still seems to be fake, though. Why would Alfred be anything but a Unique?

Missed Raven in the Uniques, but Wonder Girl isn't a Titan. Donna Troy, who was Wonder Girl, is Troia and has been for about 12 years. Having a r/e/v of her as Wonder Girl would be like having a r/e/v of Richard Grayson as Robin instead of Nightwing, or a r/e/v of Wally West as Kid Flash instead of The Flash.

The current Wonder Girl (Cassie) isn't a Titan, although she probably will be in the new Teen Titans title starting this summer.

Regardless of whether the list is fake or not, it seems to have gotten people interested in the DC Clix again. Myself included. I've also noticed some post asking who else is left to make figures of that aren't included on this list. Tons and tons and tons. For instance...every single Legionnaire. So many in fact that WizKids could do almost one whole set of just the Legion. Wouldn't that be a kicker? Then there's most of the JSA roster, current and Silver Age heroes, such as the Unique Flash from Hypertime. There's Silver Age Wonder Woman, Superman, Black Canary, Hourman, Sandman, etc. There's the Metal Men. Then there's Young Justice. They could do the three women from the Ravens. As for Mystics, there's Zantanna, Phantom Stranger, Spectre, Dr. Fate. We haven't even touched on characters like Sgt. Rock, Rawhide Kid, Jonah Hex. Don't fret...there's plenty of characters to fill out several more expansions of the DCU.

Hey, I knew this list wasn't real when I posted it! A "chunk" of it will be in the Cosmic Justice though. I just wanted to start the speculation ball rolling and this list that I saw on the WizKids HeroClix forums was just the ticket. I'm happy that there will finally be an expansion to the DC set. And as others have stated, I hope it will be larger than the Marvel expansions since there are going to be fewer of them (and because the DC base set was smaller than Marvel's base set too). I can hardly wait, but for now, Xplosion will keep me busy for at least a month or so...:classic:

I dont think you can take the "pulling" of a list as being a sign of anything. I seriously doubt any list will be pulled. Why? Because that would be a sign that is was right. So I dont think Wizkids or HCRealms will even bother pulling anything. Someone would have made a copy of the list that got pulled and it will get distributed anyway. If they dont comment, no assumptions can be made. QED

I never said it was real. In fact all I said was this This one at least has the appearance of being "legit". I'm not claiming it is.... I know that at least one of the generics on the list will be in the new set, while there is one major DC villian that will be in the set that isn't mentioned. There are no Legionaires and hardly any JSA (4 total), which is odd considering how popular the comic is right now (one of the best team books IMHO). And I want Dr. Fate! If I added to your frustration, that wasn't my intention. I will say that this list should be at least a third correct or more.

As for this thread not being pulled, well if last time was any sort of lesson, the best way to not give it any legitimacy is to ignore it. That's what I would do if I was WizKids:devious:

Why does DC feel the ridiculous need to use John Stewart more recently!? Some might argue that he is taking a larger part in everything since he was/is on the JLA cartoon, but that was only the case due to lack of "racial diversity" on the JLA for the cartoon. I don't know how many other GL fans are displeased with his resurgance, but HAL or KYLE should be the reg fig and from what i can tell they are going to further instigate my ire by making John the choice.
If you might actually wish to hear why i am displeased with their resurgance of John read on, since that's the rest of this long winded post.

John Stewart is a flat and uninteresting character devoid of any real qualities that most people could conceivably identify with. He makes similiar mistakes every single time i see him (i've only been reading GL for 11 years) and since the ever talentless JW has brought him back i have not tolerated his incapability for the recent six issues of the series. Kyle is a character with actual personality that although might be that of an immature, coming of age twenty something is more easily identifiable than a cookie cutter military drone who can miraculously walk after remembering a tragic incident.

John Whoatics, while I agree with you that Kyle and Hal deserve first placement in this game, you underestimate John Stewart. Neither Kyle nor Hal have ever had as much characterization as was packed into the brilliant but forgotten series "Green Lantern: Mosaic." That series made Hal, a character I like, seem pathetically cardboard.

John Stewart did not go insane taking care of the patchwork OA. By the end of that series he ascended to the level of a Guardian, which I think you may be referring to.

The only GL who actually went insane was good old Hal, and no one is going to accuse him of a lack of willpower.
