Hey all. I'm considering starting HC. I was going to pick up a case of one of the sets, but I haven't been able to decide... what's the general consensus on which of the sets (Infinity, Clobberin', or DC) is the best so far? Most powerful? Most well rounded? Is any of them remarkably weak, or lacking in some important aspect?

Thanks.

Also, any idea what a good price for a case would be, or where I could find them (other than ebay)?

I would say that all of the basics are covered in the infinity challenge, also because it is a larger set at 130 some odd figs instead of the 96 in clobberin time or X-plosion. But be forewarned that upon buying and reciving your case, you will most likely buy another and another and another for the rest of your givin life. Not that it's a BAD thing or anything.
Personally I buy cases at cardhaus.com for $225 I bet you could find it cheaper but the service is real good.

Dc is (so far) "weaker" than marvel

i think that marvel infinity6 challenge is the most well rounded (and the most guys)

I'd go IC also, lot's of variety and less chance of getting dupes since there are more pieces.

Gathering Ground is selling IC case for $189 and CT for $209.

I'd say IC too, for the reasons the others have mentioned. However, I'll point out one thing, since IC and HyperTime are base sets, they'll probably be in production longer than CT. Maybe that'll make you consider buying CT first.

On the other hand, IC has the worst sculpts and paint jobs of any of the sets. I'd agree that it's the most playable, though. The figures tend to be easier to use than the DC or Clobberin' Time figs, and, as everyone else said, there's a better variety.
