View Full Version : Significance to package color?
Ok, first of all, i post this knowing i didn't post it in the right forum, as i couldn't find an appropriate one.
Now:
Is there any significance to the color/shape of the plastic packages individual figures are in in the boosters? like wat does it mean if my XXX1 is in a transparent package and my XXX2 is green and XXX3 blue? And what about the wierd shaped DC ones?

Hey whats up!!!:devious:
in previous sets I only rekon that uniques had a specific color.
Both Infinity Challenge and Hypertime's uniques were in a white solid color plastic while in clobberin' times was in blue, other than that I dont think theres any specific colors for REV.
Hope I helped:)

weird shaped ones???
and yes it means something, but it also depends on the set
marvel IC clear meant nothing blue meant rare and white meant unique (so was dc i think)
marvel clobberin time clear was nothing white was rare and blue was unique, green was to try and hide the third figure in so people would have a harder time searching through packs (i think)

ill try...
all heroclix have a certain rarity value from 1-6
uniques are 6
and REV's if listed out , I believe are but into groups of three
first 1/3 of the list 1-3 rarity
second 1/3 2-4 rarity
third 1/3 3-5 rarity
the rare spot is used for the rarest fig in the pack (but what do i know)
to see the specific rarity rankings can be seen on www.heroclix.com in their figure galleries

re read my first response CT's uniques come in blue and its rares in white
My personal take on how a box is packed is this
Top of box
Rarity 1-2 (1st)
Rarity 3-4 (2nd)
Rarity 5-6 (3rd)
Rarity 2-3 (4th)
Bottom of Box
The 1st and 4th Fig were always in Clear in all sets
The 2nd Fig is either in Clear or Green, Green was only used in CT that I remember.
The 3rd Fig is either in Blue or White, in IC and HT white meant Unique and in CT Blue meant Unique.
Now this is what I noticed with about 99% of the boxes I opened. Some boxes, very few, we loaded upside down but the colors the fig were in are always correct for their rarity.
FYI ... I have opened several cases worth of Figs, I have completed all 3 sets currently out, and I will have my Xplosion Case on Wed. I will be happy to update how those are packed once I see for myself.

You're close, Brunt. The 2nd slot is a wild card slot. It can be any level. Here's the breakdown for CT:
Top of box
Rarity 1-3 (1st)
Rarity 1-6 (2nd)
Rarity 3-6 (3rd)
Rarity 2-4 (4th)
Bottom of Box

Anybody have numbers on distribution frequency by rarity?
For example, I've heard that uniques (rarity 6) had a frequency of 1 in 6 (six boxes -> 1 unique) for the first sets, but I've heard that's changed to 1 in 4 for Xplosion.
Thanks in advance!
i doubt it. the change that is. or else I pulled REALLY badly in my fisrt 15

I haven't noticed the order but the colors I noticed because the last set I bought (Hypertime) as dfferent.
This is just at the cupleof cases we got, at least.
This time:
Blue = Unique (6)
White = 5 (I'm 80% sure)
Green = 4 (again, almost certain)
But, it's supposed to have tamper-free packaging like the Mechwarrior games now... so it will matter less and less what color ecause by the time you open it, it's oeneed anyway.
I believe the greens and whites are for ranges e.g. 3-5 etc.
Xplosion is packaged exactly the same as CT and the rarity of Unique is still the same 1 in 6. I got 8 in my case 6 different and 2 dupes, got and extra Hulk and Spiderman.
