"clix" on bottom of package

Ok, i am kinda new, but is there a purpose to the "clix" on the bottom of the boosters and starters next to the barcode. I have been saving them in case wizkids has a mail-off offer or something, but now after so many i was wondering if i should just pitch them.

they were going to do a promotional thing where you could cash them, so ive heard, but now i've heard otherwise that with the popularity of the game they no longer need a marketing gimic as such. so sorry they're no good
