Is it just me or icemans stats suck?

Why?

It is well documented in the comics that Iceman usually uses his powers to block or incapacitate his foes, not hit or KO them. In fact it has also been documented that he does not use his powers to his full potential. At any rate he also has RCE so he can go up to 3 clicks of damage.

Now a cool idea for a future expansion would be an Iceman Unique representing when White Queen had control of his powers.

Actually,

Iceman's stats are very good for his point cost. R/E he can fly with an 8 movement and create barriers. And when other pieces are worn down, his AV will likely be good enough to deliver a finishing shot.

The vet version is incredibly versatile. A 10 movemet flier, with RCE, Barrier, and Xmen team ability, with a 9 AV.

Put it all together and you've got an excellent taxi and mid-to-late game shooter in a 200+ point game...

he's going to see his share of play.

Sorry but he looks good to me. 1 damage in HtH and 3 damage shooting. Sounds perfect.

Gotta agree with the majority so far on this one. I did my own experienced version of him without flying which ended up being dead on what Heroclix produced. At first I thought his points cost was a little high actually, until I took my own and factored in flight. He is a good representation of his comicbook figure.

how do you figure out close combat damage and range damage?

Well he has RCE(Range Combat Expert) that gives him +2 damage when shooting. Since he flies he can always shoot. Only time you might not shoot is if someone has Energy Shield/Defelction.

I like the Iceman we got, but they should do a unique (AoA/White queen controlled Iceman) in a future set.

9 AV with 3 damage at range is awesome !
for Iceman It's good enough anyhow.
