Rules... stolen from other people and modified too much to give them any credit.
-There are players, factions, and objectives. Each player has their own win condition or conditions. Sometimes those align with other players’ objectives, sometimes not. Either way, the game will end when all players left standing can meet the same win condition. See, ain’t that better than defining Town, Mafia, friendly neutrals, and unfriendly neutrals. Good, glad you agree.
-If more than half the players vote for the same player during the day (i.e. Majority), that player is lynched and is removed from the game. You should bold your lynch votes so that I don't miss them or think you are kidding. You can vote for anyone but chances are nothing will happen if you try to lynch someone who isn't playing. You can also vote for a No Lynch, but some mods will remove a random player from the game to ensure that the game doesn't stagnate if no player is voted off. If you feel like leaving a vote with someone, you can say Leave Vote with: Player X. You cannot "leave with majority".
-Don't do these 3 things: Quote your role pm or the role pm of anybody else, talk about this game outside of this thread even via pm unless you are pming a mason teammate or a mafia teammate, and don't edit your posts. If you do one of these 3 things, you may be modkilled to ensure the game's fairness. I'm a stickler for these. You see how it says 'may'? Assume may = will.
Raven's personal notes:
-Phases during the week will last 24 hours. I will post the deadline for votes to be accepted. The thread may not close exactly at that time, but no votes will be counted after the deadline.
-Weekend phases will vary depending on my schedule. I will probably make a phase last the entire weekend.
-I’ve noticed a number of newer players are going to participate. Feel free to ask in the thread about acronyms or pm me personally. Also check the mafia glossary and etiquette posts under the mafia forum for information. Some of the more veteran players will also help you out via the thread.

Night 0: An Insult of Grave Proportions
The scientist sat in his layer, fuming over his latest failure. His employees had deserted him after a fashion, his “patients” had escaped, and his state of the art facilities had been damaged if not destroyed completely. Out of caution and intelligence, he was now in his fallback position, pondering his next move. Turning his attention to several newspapers he had picked up on the way, he perused the headlines. Sure they were 3 days old, but when you’d been out of the loop for several months, any news was a starting point.
“Hmm, Empire State building renovations, Famine in Rwanda again, Europol issuing a another top 10.”
“Bah, there’s nothing here worthy of my time.” He said, throwing the lot across his office. Still, he would need to raise funds for his newest exploit, he already had one in mind. As he began jotting down ideas, he heard noise down the tunnel. Disturbing since only a select few knew this place. He readied a weapon and approached the tunnel with caution. A moment later, he heard a voice.
“Boss, you here?”
It was one of his men. Setting his weapon aside, he went to see exactly who had come crawling back. He hated it, but surely there was a reason and he needed what he could get.
As his comrade approached, the scientist became apprehensive. There was an unusual look on his friend’s face.
“What is it?” asked the scientist with alarcity.
“Bad news boss.” as the man handed him as folded slip of paper.
Glancing through the paper, the scientist grew furious.”This is an outrage, why am I not on the list? I am so much better than my current status there.”
“I don’t know boss, but maybe you’ll make the next list.”
“Doubtful, those humans are too inept to do anything right.” With that, the scientist knocked his friend down in a rage and ran off to a place that no one else knew about.
Immortal_Raven has left the game. He was Ultimates Mr. Sinister, pissed beyond belief that he did not get a remake for this set.
With 28 players, 15 is majority.
The day phase will end at 1:45 PM MST on July 28th, 2011.

I totally agree about Mr. Sinister, the Ultimates one is really bad and worst of all, inaccurate (Sinister should never be that weak). I'm hoping he gets a remake soon.

Curious...it sounds like you're hinting you can trigger a mason partnership.
Thing is, my character - not at all the one you're looking for, in case someone misinterprets - is masoned right off the bat with someone.
Why would there be multiple mason build-ups?

Such a strange request. Cain seems to be the only possibility you would be hoping for, and 1) I wouldn't really consider him a Wolverine rogue and 2) A quick perusal of the Units section indicates Black Tom isn't in the set, which would be the only duo I'd think for him.

I've always wanted to try and include a PGO-Cult Leader, ala a Zombie bite. Just never found the right role, and the balance issues always made me second guess myself.
You give it to Rokk, Darq, or Get, and by night two, the entire game is cult.

That's almost what I thought. It seemed so obvious I just figured it was too much so/a trap/etc.
(I've actually only seen one prior real roleclaim of sorts - Falcon - and now Predator-X so not too bad.)

I was thinking the Mafia could be either Apocalypse and his Horsemen and maybe the anti-mutant types (Reavers, Stryker, Sentinels).
The latter puts the Predator-X on Mafia. The former, well, I still don't see Predator-X as anything but Neutral at best considering I'm fairly certain the Town is composed of mutants.

Er, no, Predator X was a mutant-killing machine from the get-go (and Good/Evil isn't the distinction between Town and Mafia here...which is another reason I could care less that he's "Evil" so much as "kills mutants".)

We don't but I think if any of us are non-mutant they should pop up and say so, otherwise doubts about a mutant killing machine makes sense.
(Also, being I already noted I know who's Magneto, that would mean it's not the SR's who are Mafia.)

That is true. Just pointing out that I'm not technically a mutant and I'm town.
I'm really thinking we should avoid the first day lynch and just see what happens in the night phase. We really need more info before we start offing each other.

Wow, both deathstroke1134 and fullmetalfreak94 look suspicious as all hell already.
Deathstroke sounds a lot like Gatecrasher (probably a netural bounty hunter) and fmf is claiming Predator X. Tracker would make sense, but considering it's an anti-mutant character in a game of mutant characters, mafia tracker makes more sense than town.

That's possible, but considering that we also have the Reavers, the Horsmen, and the Purifiers, I'm guessing it's more likely one of the evil affiliations (or maybe a combination of them) than Nextwave.

Which is why I just figure get rid of the jester on D1 before it becomes an issue and ties up a real Day phase.
Again, if any anti-mutant individual (e.g.: Purifier, Stryker, Reavers, Sentinels, etc.) wish to pop up as Town, I'll be more willing to believe Predator X is Town.

5 characters, which constitutes all of the Nextwave figures in the set, and its a very reasonable number of Mafia members in a 28 person game.
Just seems to fit, to me.

Which is why I just figure get rid of the jester on D1 before it becomes an issue and ties up a real Day phase.
Again, if any anti-mutant individual (e.g.: Purifier, Stryker, Reavers, Sentinels, etc.) wish to pop up as Town, I'll be more willing to believe Predator X is Town.
I disagree with this course of action, if only because it a) does tie up a real day phase and b) defeats the purpose of the jester. We're not supposed to lynch the jester. He should be roleblocked and vig killed.

Harpua and I always talk smack on each other. I especially think it's funny to call him old because of a time that we were in Maryland for Norm's Clixathon event, and someone asked if I was his son. Howzabout recently in Captain America Mafia when I knew the chosen time period even better than the mod and...you weren't part of the Mafia that Night 1 NK'ed me, right?

The SK duo killed me in Disney too. You're damn right I've tried to mess with those guys... Heck I tried killing Mal atleast twice in the Pax Whatever the #### I want game...

Let's say your partner gets lynched. Do you just not get uber-powered up but still have an alignment and power?
Just so if we see Juggernaut doing things we have a better idea what to expect and not you just going, "Folks must just keep messing with me and that's why I haven't achieved the Gem yet." (if deathstroke survives).

Best time for full disclosure is now because if we let you go one Night and Juggernaut is seen doing even one thing beyond "looking for the Gem"...
Telling us you want to become an SK to kill us doesn't exactly make folks want to help you meet your win condition. (Then again, as I know, neither do heart-felt pleas on this site...it's all about the Game to folks. In fact, I seem to remember a certain guy in Florida arguing that for the longest time with me... ;) )

It does mean squat when you look at what deathstroke did and got away with. A 1.9 second search on Google revealed exactly what deathstroke was referencing.

As you just said, letting them both leave only helps the Mafia. So getting rid of just one - especially since common belief is they're powering up and not just going for an easy Win - kind-of skews that.
Or does this go back to my belief that you're Mafia (especially since at this point it better be darn clear I'm Town based on the info I've given about Magneto and masons)? After all, as you point out, it would be advantageous to the Mafia to let those two exit the game - it's like getting two extra kills - so maybe you're invested in seeing them succeed tonite?

I wouldn't have a problem helping out, but people like Rokk will simply use it as a reason to keep heat off the real threats by focusing on two neutrals who will neither help nor hurt the town... What does that say about Rokk...

Day 1: Too Dangerous
The masses gathered, eager to get sucked into the chaos on the map. On piece spoke up, in search of a friend. However, his signal fire was seen by too many people, people who thought it suspicious and wrong. Despite his innocent sounding plea, the numbers started to pile up, and his friend did appear, urging, pleading, even threatening that his comrade should be allowed to live. The struggle was to no avail. The masses agreed that this item was too dangerous to be left on the board. They surrounded it, put it in a box, and placed it in the custody of “Top Men.” Rep to the first person who gets the movie reference.
deathstroke1134 has been removed from the game. He was the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak(neutral)
Night begins now, you have 24 hours.
ATTENTION: I will be taking over for IR from here on out. I have been given all of the information and will be running the game. I need to find a replacement for myself. I will start the game back up this weekend, so please PM me your night action.

The bitter was about to smack the boy's hand away but stopped and instead shook it. The bitter man smiled for a moment. Maybe someone really did understand him after all.

Someone was hit by a massive attack of energy, a force so powerful that it would incinerate the person and leave no trace behind.

He had him in his sight. He turned the knob on his visor and fired a powerful beam of energy at the villain. "I'll stop you this time... even if I have to do it alone. The blast didn't seem to affect his target. Instead, the ruby beam ricocheted off into a nearby lamp post. The following chain of events was something that could be described as a rejected scene from Final Destination.
The lamp post fell into the side of a building, knocking loose part of the fire escape. The fire escape crashed down into the window of a parked car, dislodging the emergency break. The car began to roll slowly forward. "Oh no. How did that happen?" He said as he jumped down from his post and readied another blast to try to stop the car. That's when he noticed
the rest of the fire escape about to crash down on a straggling bum in the alleyway. "What... There's no one like that here."
He sighed at the illogical situation and ran over to tackle the woman out of the way. He started to slow down, feeling weak. The closer he got, the slower he moved. Eventually he just stopped moving altogether as the fire escape came crashing down on him. The bum screamed in horror at what just happened and ran off.

Yeah, you're right. I had forgotten about this post.
Magneto and Hellfire Guards would be doable, I guess, as Mags was a member of the Hellfire Club but I've never read those stories.
Magneto and Emma Frost or Mystique would be what the movies would tell us but I'm pretty sure that isn't comic accurate.
Magneto and Xavier as masons would be awesome, especially if Magneto was neutral.

I didn't think that masons got the result of the other person's actions unless the partner shared them. The only time I've ever seen anyone else's results was when I was in a mafia, and then there were no results on the night the person died. (Then again, the only time I was a mason, that was my only power, so there were no results to share anyway.)
Your second statement seems more likely, although it makes me wonder why you're trying to be all sneaky-like if you're town.
And finally, why are you so convinced that you were misdirected? I don't get how you could know that after night 1. Like tyro said, it sounds like you're fishing for info.
Ooor, you know you were misdirected because you have a kill power and didn't kill the person you meant to. That's the only way I can think of that you would know you were misdirected on the first night.
