Rules
Like Always Don't do these 3 things: Quote your role pm or the role pm of anybody else, talk about this game outside of this thread even via pm unless you are pm'ing a mason teammate or a mafia teammate, edit your posts. If you do one of these 3 things, you may be mod-killed to ensure the game's fairness.
Game Contents - There is a town made of heroes, the mafia is Hydra, there neutrals which may help or hinder the town. Phases are 24 hourish and weekends are double.
THE VDB twist - Wolverine cannot die only the players that control him. If killed the word left the game will be used for a role instead of killed thus letting everyone know someone new is controlling wolverine.

Ichiro Drove a big car but he was far from rich, the rich guy always sat in the back. Ichiro had been his driver for close to 15 years but he was pretty sure the rich guy hadn't said more then 15 words to him in all that time.
They both had sons at the same age, they even played on the same baseball team. Ichiro loved to watch them play, it was like they were equals and to them money didn't matter. When they were in there team uniforms Ichiro thought they were twins...unfortunately they did looked too alike...
A month ago Ichiro's son was taken for ransom for 10 million dollars. The kidnappers thought they were grabbing the rich mans son... after several public announcements about their error the rich man could do no more, 10 million was a lot of money even if he was his son had been was taken let alone his drivers. He could offer no more then a heart felt "I'm sorry" The police were even less helpful, and as the time flew by Ichrio called me... Wolverine.
I hate Japan... its so beautiful. reminds me of the one time i was happy and when it all went bad the pain it caused...The cherry blossoms. the mountain scape, it brings the memories all flooding back.... yup i hate Japan.
I am meet with the kidnappers, they tell me how they knew they had the right boy and ask for the money. I handed them two duffle bags of folded shirts. they have no idea whats about to happen to them. they open the bags and begin to yell at me. Two of them wnet for their guns. they have no idea who i am. I kill them both before they can even can even pull them out. Idiots. Whats this? I'm surrounded by ninjas? no breathing... not heart beats... they are not alive... They come at me in waves, they go down in pieces. A kinck here, a cut there, nothing really slowing me down. I kill them all and walk back to the little man in charge. he is whimpering now, how he is sorry and he was forced to do it. I tell him he has 60 seconds to tell me where the boy is... a Sword busts through my mid section... who could be that fast?... that silent?
Gorgon: I am that fast, I am that Silent Wolverine...
Hours later
Where am I? who is this nurse talking to me... smells like i am on a shield helicarrier?...I am wrapped up in a body case... can't open my left eye... she is still talking... Kill her. What? who said that? Kill her you animal you have a mission to start. Is that in my head... No! I am not going to kill her. I SAID KILL HER! go away lady, she is bending over me trying to give me some water... sorry lady. I stick my claws deep into her chest... her blood floods over me like water. This feels wrong but so familiar... I sit up and tear off the cast. God what has happen to me. Good now get up and get started you animal!

Ok, I haven't read the opening yet, but judging by my character, I'm going to go ahead and guess that hydra is the mafia. So who do we think might be in it? I think Northstar was brainwashed during this story, wasn't he?

Reading anything other than comic books is like kryptonite for some of us. Or maybe I'm just pissed because Mistborn is not available on Audio Book.
Nevertheless, new game, yay, joyfulness, devilish laugh, etc...

I just remembered Revolutionary Girl Utena Mafia... When the players were trying to lynch a townie that was killed a few nights ago... Then at end game they thought the remaining mafia member was a player that was killed a few nights ago. It was a huge mess.

You shut your pie whole. I'll have you know that it most certainly is NOT based on a whole lot of nothing, but rather a little bit of nothing. At the very least it's given us a better idea who to target based on actions and reactions this phase. My vote stays in case he gets on in time to claim.

I wonder if I can pick up a copy of the trade tomorrow so I can read up on this? There's no reliable information online, but the summaries I've found make it sound pretty cool.
It really was. I greatly enjoyed it. Very different Wolverine story, and a lot of fun.

I'm curious why Rokk is asking SL that question. I'm also curious why the SK (I"m assuming this since vig's normally take N1 off) would kill Quebbs. Seems like he'd be an easy target to waste more day phase putting pressure on.

I forget the name of my character as I accidentally deleted my role pm when I purged D1 stuff for CHM from my inbox.
I don't really do anything for right now, and my alignment is Neutral and I win when I'm alive at the end of the game.

I'd rather the vig didn't kill me. I'm kind of curious as to what I'll be doing in the long run here. For now, I'm just treating it as a normal Mafia game, later it should turn into something very VDB fun, and I'd enjoy participating in whatever that is going to be.

And Velius, usually it's not a good thing to immediately out yourself as a cop, but this early in the game, there's usually a doctor and guide who can help you out should you.
I was trying to get people to lynch him with out roleclaiming but I guess im not experienced enough yet :disappointed:

Whether or not that makes K-Ness Town... enh.

Well, I certainly wouldn't have played as Town on Day 1.
Probably would have RP'd as a paranoid dude (granted, at that point I hadn't researched my character).
Ya know, the usual post enough so that people feel comfortable that I'm participating without actually participating in the day to day activities of rooting out Mafia and such.
I forgot my character's name again, and, frankly, I'd been copped, it doesn't matter. You get lynched when you're the first person that the cop cops as Mafia.

Don't keep up with the character all that much these days, but I can say that without a doubt, my character has been married for a long time.
Ok, not sure who the giant hand is, but possibly, Foom or a Sentinel?
Also judging by the last paragraph, it seems like we have VDB's signature "Smoke" role here. They steal an info gatherer's result pm.
I'm curious why Rokk is asking SL that question. I'm also curious why the SK (I"m assuming this since vig's normally take N1 off) would kill Quebbs. Seems like he'd be an easy target to waste more day phase putting pressure on.
I thought of GoG, of course, the hand is the hyrda ninja's too, no? Or something similar to it?

The alarms are still going off at the Baxter building. Sue is making sure the kids are safe when suddenly a giant hand comes crashing through the wall, she quickly puts up a barrier "Run!" she yells as the kids scamper off. She pushes back the attacker and goes to run after her kids. As she leaves the room she is attacked; she barely dodges the blades and goes invisible. she get away from the assaulter and continues onward. "Must get to Reed..." She turns a corner snikt "Can't hide from me" is whispered in her ear. she grabs on to his costume, as he lays her down, she becomes viable again. A look of acceptance is on her face as he closes her eyes.
On another fool two skilled combatants battle, each blow is met with a block and counter. One beings to edge the other but another intervenes grabbing one and jumping through a near by window. The other is left gripping his weapon as he knows he was robbed.
The man stands over a younger girl, "did you get the info" She nods, "thanks for picking me up i had no idea that hydra was watching me." she replies "Knowing more then my enemy is what I do now give me that data! as it might hold the secret of saving Wolverine..."

There was a fake Stucker she thought the real one. The fake was old and incompetent and so his wife messed around with Gorgon and then had "Baron Strucker" killed...but it happened during the events of the story.

I keep trying to figure how the info I have on SL fits Hank. Maybe if VDB also ignored the fact that Hank and Jan have been divorced for RL decades (they do still get paired up in other media and often in the comics, still) and that she was still alive at the time of "Enemy of the State"...
Plus, here's another problem with SL's "claim": He didn't recognize the giant hand in the write-up. If you're playing a giant-character and you see a giant hand in the write-up, why would you automatically start thinking to yourself that it's someone from "Guardians of the Galaxy" or maybe a "metaphor for the Hand Ninjas"?

That's rather true. I'm not very fond of being absorbed in my computer once I get home. That's a 'work vs play' kinda thing.
Occasionally, especially when I'm active in a mafia game, I'll check up on things more often, but yeah, you make a fair point. I'm just being snarky.

I keep trying to figure how the info I have on SL fits Hank. Maybe if VDB also ignored the fact that Hank and Jan have been divorced for RL decades (they do still get paired up in other media and often in the comics, still) and that she was still alive at the time of "Enemy of the State"...
Plus, here's another problem with SL's "claim": He didn't recognize the giant hand in the write-up. If you're playing a giant-character and you see a giant hand in the write-up, why would you automatically start thinking to yourself that it's someone from "Guardians of the Galaxy" or maybe a "metaphor for the Hand Ninjas"?

Went back to re-read the bit about the giant hand - I just remembered it crashing through a walll not killing anyone (and I was right; I think Hank just targeted the same person as the killers did) - and y'know what I see?
Daredevil is already dead.

No, i thought the 'patchy' remark would be good enough, I didn't think of other hints I may accidentally be giving. I know the story well enough.
Hell would probably = Satans claw, or some random role entered for jokes.
Patch as Wolverine would be an auto lynch.
I'd be better off claiming the shark Logan gutted than either of what you assumed.

I'm not a traditional guide. I do other stuff, and that did not happen if I wasn't MD/Blocked whatever (which I think is unlikely, as I wasn't a player until just last night).

I said that because I thought the mafia would maybe md me into rico, then reverse track him and try to make me look bad. Or at the very least make my results not matter.
Btw I did not get two actions last night or anything special happen.
Actually, I didnt get any results back last night.
I assumed, once I looked at the night write up, that it was because the person I copped ended up dead.
