Well, if it's a CoG-like event, you'd still play local and win big. But yeah, I'm not sure. I hope they clarify soon what this is since they are putting the ad up on their website. If you're going to advertise something, explain it too.

They said they were doing an 'Event' type tournament scheme for the 3 Marvel sets, Hulk, Infinity War, and Mighty Avengers. That would be reminiscent of Starro and Galactus.

I think there's little chance that this isn't it. The Thanos is probably the end prize. While there will be other smaller prizes until then, that hopefully give you a better chance at winning.
Like the Infinity gems/gauntlet as special Objects, and any LE figs, like those Abstracts underneath him.

So im sure the base comes with him, even if it's just for display. Which is good because the fig would look quite boring without it, IMO.

...Wow-frickin-zers!!!

Well as you can see by the avatar I'm big on Thanos so when I saw this I pretty much crapped my pants. I love the previous (Supernova) version, to this day he is my feared 1-man 300 point team murderer but I won't lie...I was always wondering when the re-make would come, not cause he necessarily needs one but more along the lines of I (and other like myself) needed one. Something with that X-factor/special power or whatever else to make jaws drop, hearts stop and plastic fly when they see the purple plastic bastard on the opposing side of the field.

Can't remember who said it but it went along the lines of "He (Thanos) is the guy that when you see on your side you know everything is gonna be alright...When he's not, (thus against you) your pretty much screwed."

Not completely sure as to who are the black and white figure or the one in the off yellow-ish/green robe (anyone wanna fill me in?). But the furthest right in the display looks to be a Thanos, Guaranteed my number one want from that set regardless of previews/other characters.

The big Thanos I love, as I always felt Thanos alone can take on teams but Thanos with the gauntlet can take on the universe, so the representation has got me Jonesing to say the least. However I do have one small gripe about the colossal at the moment.

In my head I always pictured a Thanos colossal with all the power of clixdom at his disposal yet differs from others in the sculpt in a big (or little way, depending on how you look at it). In the sense that I always want the giant based to be mounted by an average sized Thanos , rocking the gauntlet. If anything, scatter the defeated marvel universe around him (ala Onslaught GSX colossal, but more bodies) and his smug purple face either standing or perched on his throne with death by his side (Don't mind sitting or even one foot on it ala Black Panther/Captain Morgan). I elt it would portray his utter dominance in the Infinity Gauntlet series, plus being BAD ### to no end doesn't hurt either.

Filling you in, Black and white is the In-Betweener, a minion of Chaos and Order. Yellowish looks to be the Grandmaster, one of the Elders of the Universe.
Furthest right i THOUGHT looked like Nebula, but someone previous mentioned Titania ???

Ah, the Starlin-ey goodness.

I'm not sure how the In-Betweener would play on a normal dial, since he traded blows with Galactus.

Similarly, the Grandmaster is both indescribably (and vaguely) powerful and often so "behind-the-scenes-ey" that he would be hard to create a dial for.

Terraxia is definitely contender for "Most Obscure Marvel Character Ever Clixed" since she appeared in Infinity Gauntlet #4 (created by Thanos because Death wasn't puttin' out), ripped off Tony Stark's head, bludgeoned Spider-Man to death (they got better), and died of asphyxiation in deep space, never to be heard from again. She gets a hundred points for having a pretty sweet George Perez character design, but loses several million for having done little of any lasting importance in the Marvel universe.

Colossal Thanos. What else needs to be said but "Colossal Thanos." Colossal Thanos.

Is the Infinity Gauntlet (a.k.a. Galactic Guardians) out around the same time? I take it its not because the Hulk set is a month before. I rather have it be so because there will be no greater feeling than using a Silver Surfer against Thanos. Hopefully he is made in the set as well.

I've been wanting an IG Thanos since day one of IC Thanos and that sculpt of his from IC where you knew they wanted to paint the IG on his old scuplt. But yes. I WILL get this. I'm sure it's the grand prize of the event. But yeah. going by Starro he still will be reasonable to obtain.

Plus if you look closely, the staircase plinth that the Gauntlet is mounted on has 6 knobs on it for mounting the six gem objects on. Collect the whole set, attach them all and you get to use the longest length of Thanos' dial?

That's how I see him working. The more gems, the longer the dial and more points he can be used at? :rolleyes:

and you don't think there will be a common or Uncommon version of Thanos as well?

i'm frighten if the do the Elders of the Universe as a sub set. they with be Super rares. all of them.

Grandmaster, Gardener, Compteplator, Obliterator , the Collector, and of Course,the Champion! all super rares!

frankly, i'm hoping that this will not be a remake heavy set.

and should the Eternals arrive inthis set: Ikaris, Thena, Makkari, Ajax, and Sersi!

But near back to to back to back set? not sure if you heard Wizkids, but we're on the brink of economic apocalyspe and you're pumpin out sets, and other projects too like we're on a spending binge. i'm hoping yourevert tojust three sets next year then.

don't forget the runner, i want death in here and a new mephisto who is actually good.
i hope for alot of power cosmic characters to bolster my collection.
as i have all the pc figs.
but half of them are retired.
i love the thanos and kinda hope he's a brick but also hope he's a prize.
i'm so torn!
