Today WWE released Melina, Vladimir Kozlov, Chris Masters, and D.H. Smith from their contracts and wished them all well in future endeavors.

It should also be noted that Gail Kim is claiming on Twitter that she quit WWE Monday after Raw.

Well, none of those are a huge loss. I suspect Gail Kim will end up in TNA, perhaps Masters or D.H. Smith.

Masters has improved a lot over the years.

Also weird to see Koslov fired, considering he was over.

Gail Kim left WWE? I can't blame her from doing so. She was never treated well and she was most times just support for face divas. I know from time when she was in TNA that she can do much more than that. After all she was first ever knockout champion.

I'm actually shocked that they fired Kozlov but Chris Masters is no suprise. After all Chris Masters was stuck to jobbing and they didn't let him win even one match. Its sad to see DH Smith go but I'm not missing Melina.

Gail Kim got herself fired with her stunt on Monday most likley

Melina ...interesting well she has been jobbing and known for her tude...I think the only reason she kept her job this long is her boy JoMo...this might actually help him as he wont have Heat Magnet Melina with him

Masters and Smith...They still had jobs... REALLY ;)

Koslov yep he has been a joke and as soon as Santino had a new partner his time was done

Just amazed that Primo, JTG and Tent still have jobs though

We all kinda knew this day was coming. Every year they cut a bunch of folks loose, but it seems this time around it's lacking that one legitimate full-blown shock firing. Like a Mickie James or a Shelton Benjamin and so on.

Koslov was over and I kept expecting him to move back into a push for world title contendership, given that there was a time he was in that spot.

Masters isn't a shock at all. In fact, I'm more surprised he got rehired to begin with. Like Koslov, there was a time in the past where it seemed they were moving him up the card, but then he lost all that weight and the push along with it.

DH Smith isn't a shock either since the apple clearly fell pretty far from the tree in terms of charisma. At least Tyson Kidd has that unique look going for him, even if he's as big a persona-less zilch as his former teammate.

The writing's been on the wall for a while in regards to Melina. Given the headaches she's caused some folks backstage, it pretty much became borrowed time for her. The funny thing about this there's less discussion on where her career is going to go and it became more about where John Morrison will go.

Then there's Gail. Frankly, I think she's probably going to retire within the next year.

Nah unless she is hurt I expect her to go to Japan and get soem good money ...then retire down the road

Also surprised it took this long to do the cuts as they are usually just post Mania

Ya, nothing too shocking here. I guess the only thing that could be considered shocking is how long they waited to do cuts. Usually they do this within a month of Wrestlemania.

I think you are right about Kim, i think she is done. Masters and Melina i don't think we will see back in WWE again. Kozlov and Smith, i think this will be the best thing that ever happened to them. I think Kozlov needs to go to Japan or TNA and get some other experience outside the WWE machine before he can come back better. Same goes for Smith, but i think he will end up somewhere like ROH or DGA and maybe we can pick up some ways to connect with the audience.

Of all the guys let go, i'm surprised Todd Grisham didn't get the axe yesterday! That guy is worthless!

They'll mostly just sit on the shelves of your local Toys R' Us. It's a magical world, where no one ever retires or gets fired there for wrestling toys. I've seen Eric Bischoff, Paul Heyman, and a slew of other years outdated WWE toys in the ones in my area.

I remember before Kay bees went out they had Paul for 1.00 I actually had to grab one at that price lol. What makes me laugh is they keep these figures and dont makr them down to sell them till years too late

It is a few days old, but TNA has released Matt Hardy.

Jeff Hardy also announced that he is returning to TNA next week. Looks like they are trading one addict for another. Why not bring back Scott Hall and Jake Roberts while they are at it?

I'd love it if Matt Hardy would just...go away.
