This is a kindly public service announcement from the Marvel Forum, to all DC fans

Hi all you DC fans. I have a request to ask of you; I'll try to be nice about it, although it bothers me a lot. Please stop posting in the Marvel forum about how much Marvel sucks. In the Marvel forum, it is expected that I will log on, and then talk about some Marvel figures, or hey - maybe even DC too. However, I get a little riled up when DC fans decide to take it upon themselves to 'show us the error of our ways.'

Now I'm not saying all DC fans do this, because obviously that's not true - there are a few of you ruining it for everyone. Now I admit that there are people who could see where DC clix and DC comics are better than Marvel - it comes down to personal preference, and playing style. As a defensive player, I would have a tough time playing a bunch of characters that had to get 6 spaces away to shoot anything. But again, that's just me.

Anyway. I have no idea what goes on in the DC boards, as I almost never read them. However, I will be repeating this post there, as I'm quite tired of being ostracized by DC fans for ..... well, whatever it is that I'm being ostracized for. Again, I don't mean to say that all DC fans are a pain in the butt, because they're not. Hopefully though, this little message will encourage you to keep a leash on some of these people.

And may I ask all the Marvel fans out their to also show respect to the DC Fans on this board. Do onto others and all that. :)

Ditto. We're basically one cliq, with one set of rules. We call have our preference on whether we are a Marvel fan or DC fan, but keep the comics to the comics and let's focus on clix.

Have to agree. As of late the DC fans have been overly Agressive. I think it has to do something with the Lunar Cycle. :classic: :laugh: :p A lot of DC people have started the whole Marvel vs DC thing up. On the other hand I have seen 1 Marvel person start a Marvel vs DC thread.

DC would be the other big comic company (no offense if i left any out I haven't read any comics in a while.)

I dunno, most of the reply posts I've seen ignore the powers of the DC characters and just talk about how leet their favorite marvel character is in comparison. I mean seriously, Nightcrawler vs. Flash? Avengers vs. JLA? Lordy....

The thing that I think tends to annoy DC readers is a blind adherence to a given Marvel character regardless of whether or not their own comic even supports some of the claims. I constantly see posts about how Marvel's characters are more powerful, better looking, have better social skills, etc, etc. I read comics from both companies, my logo is Avengers for pete's sake, and though I've done about 25 comversions, only 2 of them are DC. That said, DC charcters are just plain old more powerful Marvel characters. It's the difference in the books/companies.

Oh, and fellow marvelites, please don't use Hulk smashing things and Wolverine and Punisher killing as marks for "realism". True realism would be all three dying while resisting arrest.

In the end, we all have our prefences, and some of us just feel obliged to ram them down another's throat.

NuMarvel sucks, I think we should be able to express this if we want. I don't even read DC. I _did_ read Marvel until Joe Quesada started running the show (see sig).

So where does that leave me?
I like Marvel and DC but love HEROCLIXS.
I collect both and play both.
Neither is better than the other.
Marvel fans will claim Marvel is better.
DC fans will claim DC is better.
The argument is no different then the dog is better than the battleship in Monopoly.
Heck just wait until Indy is released and they claim its better than both marvel and DC.

Just give me the shoe! I'll probly be in jail through the whole game.

But it does look as though everyone will have to get along now as the general discussion areas appear to have been combined.

Now the Marvel/DC split is only for strategy forums, not for general discussion like "Who's the best new fig" stuff.

Can't we all just get along?:confused:
