As for what they will make if they win? John has indicated that he will most likely make a Punisher, and Dan will be making Mr. Sinister!

sweet. I'd be happy with either figure. how long do those ussually take to create and release? Y'know, when the company isn't being shut down and resold.

Plain and simple, Metron must rush in and shutdown that Stop power with outwit, then attack with Nightcrawler and take the opponents metron with you to the other side of the map and just destroy Kid Zoom.
That won't work at all. :)

I really want Dan to win, because I would love to see a new Mr. Sinister with a great dial. Punisher doesn't do nearly as much for me.

Either figure would be great. I really want a new Mister Sinister. I think Punisher is pretty solid as he is, but he could be made a little better (Running Shot and Stealth special power).
Hopefully if Mister Sinister gets made he won't have a horrible 6 range.

The SI Punisher is still an awesome figure and even the Frank Castle LE is playable. But the only Mr. Sinister we have is mostly good for being a high-point Mastermind sponge or part of a Horsemen theme team.

Kid Zoom neuters NC, but he is pretty weak himself, so he cant really play much, if he goes in the open he risks dying/leaving himself open to Outwit. Whereas NC can still move around, hold metron so he cant shoot, block lines of fire, etc etc, and rely on his high defense, stealth and defensive powers to keep up. So if its an open map with lots of hindering (airport?) i think NC team has an edge. Complex game, i think the map will be the dominant factor in this game.

What are you talking about?! Punisher, yes. Mr. Sinister, no. The fact that Mr. Sinister was not in GSX is a joke and we wont get him until there is ANOTHER xmen themed set that comes out... so a few years at least. And even then, knowing heroclix, there is a still a chance they will leave him out. GO DAN! Get us a Mr. Sinister that... well thats not the Ultimates version!
Here's hoping for a Mr. Sinister.

I echo people wanting Sinister and people groaning at the teams used. Either way, hopefully the games are good and Sinister is made.

Neither of those characters do anything for me, but that's especially true of the Punisher. Let's hope we get a new Sinister, if these are the choices.
At least we got Black Adam out of last year's champ.

I would watch as well, but only if it had streaming and 2 players who had an original thought in their heads, and please I don't care about what type of event this is and the award they get from winning, these are lame teams with no thought on team building and the skill of the player.

After seeing what constructed has been, why not make it challenging?
Have these guys purchase 2 boosters each and build teams out of that.
And it could be any 2 boosters from Arkham/Secret Invasion to now.

Considering some of the names floated in the "If I won Gencon..." threads, I imagine many folk wouldn't make some ridiculously obscure character. My first choice would be Flex Mentallo, sure. But in addition to his obscurity, there's a licensing issue so he probably wouldn't be made.
My second choice? Batman. I imagine many other wishlists contain a similarly popular character near the top.

I believe his name was John Rowes. I met him in person and that was his name at Origins...so unless he changed it, or he's got 2 different last names...

When i read the teams i was like seriously? I didn't know high level play was so cheezy. If thats what you gotta do to be a high level player then im perfectly fine with my local events where i can be creative.

I really hope this wasnt the case. Id rather go down swinging any day of the week than to sit in a turtle fest. Roll off is powerful weak.
If I ever won, Which I wont cause I will not spend tons of money to fly somewhere and fight 38 Metron teams advance just to roll off. I would choose to make Deadpool on his moped or a Nate grey figure.

I suppose I should thank you for introducing me to Clix many years ago, but I still won't play in your silly tournaments. Congrats on getting 2nd place! Too bad, because I did want to see your rendition of Punisher done (which helped fix some metagame issues and was a fun idea at the same time).

I wish it ended in a tie. There needs to be a rule, once a figure/figures is used to win a champioship. Those figures are automactically retired from Convention play.
