It's time for me to branch out, moving on from my video game themes. As a send-off for the SNES themes that I've been running, I'll be hosting a mash-up game for the SNES where YOU get to be one of the SNES characters!

Think MSU's Disney 9.5 where the players were an amalgam of their Disney choice and themselves. It will be along the same lines. What I need you to do: When you sign up, submit at least 3 characters from a video game that was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. You may list more, but list at least 3 and in the order that you would prefer to be them. Roles will be determined on a first come first serve basis, so sign up fast and submit as soon as possible. The sign-ups will be open until right before this game is scheduled to start, which will likely be in early September (definitely not until after Final Fantasy finishes).

If you are unsure if a character has appeared in a game on the SNES, feel free to ask me. My knowledge is fairly significant with these games. This game has no set number of players needed. It's open to as many want to join in!

ANY SNES game. They are all valid. Even if the character wasn't playable, like Santa Claus in Secret of Mana... It's valid.

It's amazing the amount of stuff that's been released on the SNES. I had so many options it was hard to even go down to 9, especially considering I could've been John Madden. There's someone I should have thought of. Dang.

Bill Clinton was in NBA Jam. As was Al Gore.

Bubsy, the world's most annoying cat mascot.

Doink the Clown was in Wrestlemania the arcade game.

Somebody could be telling us to do a barrel roll...

I'm also disapointed I didn't think of being the Excite Bike.

Or the Toasty! guy from Mortal Kombat.

I put Alex Trebek as a choice along with myself from Harvest Moon :p
....I might have to crack out the SNES one of these weekends and replay some of my old favorites.

In an idea I had early on (but abandoned), I was going to have a mafia game where Bubsy, Aero the Acrobat, and a couple of other more obscure characters were the mafia.

There are a lot of great (and hilarious) characters to choose from. The chances of having a Pocky and Rocky mason team are slim, though. :ermm:

I know who my main pic would be if I was playing, though. It would actually be a tough call because I would want the main pic, but there's another character I would want just as much.

You can have me as an autosign for your games, K. Even when I am frustrated with Mafia games in general, yours' are still "must signs" (and dies).

Just wish I had signed sooner so I could have submitted faster.

i'll sign up for this.

i actually haven't played alot of SNES games but i'm gonna go through a list of games on wikipedia and pick from there. after all some franchises i know have titles on there. plus i don't think i've ever been in a video game related mafia.

As for roles, remember, they can be in games NOT from the SNES. They just have to have appeared in a SNES game. For example, if someone wanted the Dinosaurs from Bubble Bobble, they appeared in Super Bust-a-Move.

And remakes or re-releases count, too. So, technically, anyone from Super Mario Bros. 2 would be allowed.

Frankly, I'm surprised that EmperorNorton didn't sign up. I even had a role ready to go for him.

Thanks, Truffle! This is indeed the one. I would love for so many more to sign up too, but I know that large games are few and far between these days.

Many of them are my friends though... Others are mafia players who seem to be leaving the game or taking a break.

Yes, I did. Since my doc is at work, and I updated it Friday morning before I got slammed, I haven't had the chance to update the front page.

And for those wondering, you do NOT have to submit roles. I can make one for you.

Thanks for all the sign-ups so far! This week will be used for final sign-ups.

For those of you have yet to submit roles, please do so by this week's end or I will just assign you a random character. Final Fantasy will be wrapping up soon, so I will be working on roles this week.
