Let the discussions flow. Likes, dislikes, classic film or overhyped trash, and DONT FORGET to place an Overall Rating when youre done.
Its easy, just give a Rating from 1 (Jaws 4:The Revenge) to 10 (Jaws), and thats it. Course I'd love to have you all give reasons as to why you feel it deserves this Overall Rating, and more than encourage discussions with us all about them.
ALSO: I urge Any and All of you who have yet to do so, to go back to our older catalogue of RtM films (Very easily done by the Links List right on the top of the Rate The Movies Forum), and vote for your favorite, not so favorite, and anything in between movies. We have HEAPS there already, some Classics, some Crud, let's hear what YOU think about them ALL! :)
So, what say you all?

I found Captain America to be very enjoyable. The story was well done overall. I felt that a bit too much was left unsaid about the Cosmic Cube for the general public, but anyone who'd seen Thor would have no problem. The plot moved smothly from one point to the next, except for the very beginning and the very end, which were set in the modern world. Those were both poorly handled. The transition of Cap from WWII to today was handled much better in the pages of The Ultimates. Lots of action combined with a Golden Age of Hollywood style of storytelling that was prevelant in the forties.

I'll say 8/10. I thought overall it was well-acted, and there were some funny parts in it, which I tend to appreciate in action flicks. The montage of Cap and the Commandos blowing up Hydra bases wasn't great, the CGI was a little too obvious, but other than that, I had no complaints.

Very strong flick. A great character piece for Steve, who comes across as nice without being bland and patriotic without being annoying. The supporting cast rocks, with special props to Hayley Atwell and Tommy Lee Jones. The only weak spot was the Red Skull, who felt underdeveloped, but was menacing (particularly when he had the Hugo Weaving mask on).

Finally got to see it and loved it. Captured Cap perfectly, and Weaving made a good Skull. Missed the Sub-mariner, but did catch the Human Torch and the Indiana Jones reference. Liked getting Zola and Falsworth in the film to (Falsworth is Union Jack in the comics, and was the British Commando that joined Cap's team).
I'll give it a 9/10, and say it's up there as one of the best comic book films for me.

I have some problems with Captain America as a character, but the movie was very well done. No holes in the story that jumped out at me, the actors were good, the effects suitably spectacular, the music fitting and fun. Hence my rating puts it slightly ahead of Thor and X-Men First Class, which I also thought very entertaining.

8.5. Another fantastic Marvel movie, better than Thor in my opinion.
I feel like Captain America was a relatively easy character to do right in a movie, and they managed it. The CGI-scrawny Steve Rogers was crazy at the beginning, but my girlfriend was totally fooled: "wow that guy looks just like the guy they got to play Captain America."
I don't really have any nitpicks. Maybe I'm mellowing in my old age.

I'm with everyone else on this one. I thought it was one of the stronger Marvel movies. Even though it was a bit silly or even cliched at times it was always done in a knowing tongue in cheek way. It was a great film that had my smiling throughout.

I actually thought this was the best comic movie this year. Though X-Men: First Class was not far behind.
Very well done. Well acted and the movie was very enjoyable.
It's no Dark Knight, Batman Begins, 300, Iron-Man, or Spider-Man 2, but it's definitley among the best ever.

Good, but I felt it could have been better.
I felt it was handled well, but very kid-friendly. I kinda wanted more nazis than just Hydra guys firing lasers (yes disintegration lasers, but lasers nonetheless).
Loved Hugo Weaving and loved Tommy Lee Jones. I thought Chris Evens did a great job.
I just felt it could have been a lot more than a typical/mediocre popcorn flick.
7.73 out of ten.
Enjoyed it. I agree we could have had more nazis (everybody hates 'em 'cept nazis) I liked it better than Thor.

8/10. Not the best Marvel movie, but the costumes, set, casting choices, and promotion were all superior.

9.5 out of 10. So very close to a 10. In fact it is so close I can't even think of what would need to be improved to make it a 10.

nazis. That's what would have made it better, more nazis.
I'm going with Indy on this one.
Eh, it was explained well enough that Skulls Hydra group broke away from the Nazis well enough for it to be Cap vs. Hydra over Cap vs. Nazis easy enough to believe.
I liked it. I thought it was very well done, and I'm a big Hugo Weaving fan so I thought he was great as Red Skull. The acting was good, the story was very good. All in all a solid movie. I've only seen it the one time in theater, but I do want to watch it again. I'll probably buy the blu-ray now that I think about it.
Acting 7/10
Story 8/10
Special Effects 9/10
Overall 8/10
