I was playing a 300 pt DC game with my friend last night and we ended up fielding very similar teams. Mine was a Teen Titans theme (forgive the difference in R/E/V):
V Nightwing
E Hawk
V Dove
E Flash
R Checkmate Medic
E Lackey (on parole)
He played a Hawk/Dove/Flash combo too with some different support. We played the Mansion indoor map.
Nightwing broke off to handle Huntress and Bullseye (his one Marvel fig) as my opponent sent them off around the mansion. He also sent Flash around the other side of the mansion solo. For my turn, I flew in Flash with Dove, moved Hawk with them and let Flash take a first shot at his Flash. He hit for 1 and knocked him off his outwit. I then Outwitted his Hypersonic.
For turn 2, he also moved over Hawk and Dove, pushing them and I did the same for my turn. Hence we both had Flash/Hawk/Dove combos in the same small area.
Eventually I put Flash (still on first click) in base contact with a clicked Hawk and Dove. I had wanted to prevent Hawk from Charging my Hawk/Dove combo. I knew the hurt might be coming for Flash as he only needed 5's and 7's to hit me. For his first shot, he hit with Hawk for 3, but Flash evaded with Super Senses. He tried with Dove for 4 damage, but Flash evaded AGAIN with Super Senses. I cleared Flash, and moved up Hawk and Dove next to his Hawk and Dove so we had a nice 3 on 3 grouping. He pushed Hawk and Dove to hit Flash again, I hit both Super Senses rolls again! He was upset to say the least. I did a Hypersonic close combat attack on Hawk, only needing a 3 to hit for starters and ended up doing 6 damage to him when it was done. Bye bye Hawk. My Hawk and Dove cleaned up the rest and Nightwing eventually nailed both Bullseye and Huntress.
For some reason, I usually get better than the 33% needed for Super Senses. I am not naive to the fact that the odds are what they are, but for some reason, I seem to hit around 50%. Last night was amazing though. 4 times in a row is very odd indeed.
I put too much emphasis on this power, but the funny thing is, if you get a rep for hitting the roll, people almost get to the point that they wont even try.
One more dice anomoly. For the "who starts" rule, I rolled snakeeyes and my opponent rolled double six. I suggested that that means I lose automatically.
Anyway, just wanted to share a fun story from a game last night.
