It's been a while since I've actually gone out and played Clix at venues. This has mostly been due to a lack of drive, time, and work scheduling. But now that my schedule is much more free than it used to be, I was wondering where the best places to play Heroclix in MD are? I'm currently living near Frederick, so anything within a 20 to 30 minute drive would be convenient, but I'll take recommendations as far as 45 minutes.

When I used to play, I played at Dream Wizards in Rockville. But looking at their calendar, their events are rather bland (as I have seen they pretty much recycle the same events; no offense to the organizer) and they only have them once every other week. I was hoping for a place that has scheduled events once a week, or minimally open gaming areas with days that you're likely to find a good amount of Clix players. I know Steve and Gudda from Clixcast talk about playing in MD, so I'm wondering where it is that they play?

Dude you need to get your butt down to Columbia MD on Friday nights! That's where it is. We start at around 530pm. Call the store for build details or join my fb page for event invites:

Comics To Astonish
9400 Snowden River Pkwy
Columbia, MD 21045
410 381-2732

Generally no power gamers here. We play highlander rule for non-generics. Just fun games!

I enjoy playing at the Family Game Store, which is farther North in Savage, MD, close to Baltimore. It's a great venue and a great group of players.
