What in the world? They mess up bad this time. Spartans are super soldiers with the best train there is. I mean these guys can survive a fall form orbit, they be limping but they survive and can still fight. The Covenant call them demons for they impossible to kill and they killed their best soldiers. I'm starting to worry about this set to many hit and misses.

As far as accuracy goes, remember that the Spartans and other Halo universe characters are now being placed alongside extra-ordinary individuals, most of whom possess super-human powers or exceptional training or both. I'm a halo fan myself, but there a great many Marvel and DC characters who could easily go toe-to-toe with a Spartan soldier, or even kill them with very little effort; it's simply the way comic book characters are written, and when merging universes like this we need to keep everything in perspective.

That being said, I think this fig is great. For 87 points you get a full 8 clicks with good survivability (toughness and SS), top dial perplex that lasts a good three clicks, and mid/late-dial incap that actually deals two damage as well! His stats are solid, only dropping below 9 atk and 16 def for one click, with a 10/17 for half his dial.

IMO he's a perfect lieutenant for Gen. Raam, able to support him early with perplex and use his stun shot later on for Raam to go wild with ink grenades on the incapped targets. He also adds a full two grenades to the pool for Gen. Raam to play with, and all this for 87 points.

Well as comparing a Spartan to comic book characters I have to say they are as good as Captain America. With some differences here and there. After looking back at some of the cap dials I guess it's all right. I wish I could see some move and attack powers, make me feel better.

Anyone else slightly annoyed that the ODST armor gives Invulerable, while this Spartan armor only gives Toughness? Aparently he either got a damaged or defective suit of armor. Would have liked to see at least one click of Invuln like every other spartan in the set. The rest of the dial is nice though.
