Boomerang is now my new staple

from now on i will always use v boomerang.

EE and three ranged targets is an excellent way to rack up damage.

i hit r dr doom, v cyclops, and v boomerang for four clix each
with a little help from a shield agent!

anyone else have similar success?

Boomerang is great!!!!!
especially when you use him in tandem with pyro. For a long time, these two were the staple range combat guys and the big dudes and taxis followed. It only gets rough when his AV of 9 gets outmached pretty quickly. What did you roll to hit dr doom anyway?

I like putting him on a roof top and using Jean Grey (usually the E version) to put targets within range of his shots by using TK.

Yep, Boomerang is a wonderful peice until he gets hit. One of my favorite Clixs to use.

The LE is a devastating piece to use. However, it too has a glass chin. But a good piece, nonetheless!

The exp. version is nice also, in a dedicated SinSyn/MoD team he can be a wrecking ball. Not as powerful as the vet, but he can really abuse that team ability when paired with exp. Ultron.

Boomerang is also one of my favorite units. 3 Range Attacks with EE is amazing, and its not like the Vet version is alot of points.


Only wish he held onto energy shield deflection for a little longer. Ah well.

Actually, I used a rookie Boomer with a couple aim agents, and used lots of double incapacitate. This helped to tie up ultron and firelord, allowing me to get into postion. I like Boom....

R boomerang is a great peice a use him too. cheap double incapitate. his atk little low but he still works well.

I always like Boom too. The thing is, as was mentioned that AV of 9 is just to low to make him a 'Good' piece. However I do a fun 200pt bankrobbers team that I run V Boom in. Witht the advent of so much perplex in Xplosion, Boomerangs usage should go up. Back him up with some of his Hos (con artists) to increace his AV and you just might see him in tourney play.

I know this belongs more in the rules section, but does 3 target EE allow for multiple damage? What I mean is, can you do EE 3 times and get spalsh damage all 3 times to do more than 1 click?

Yes you can. the damage can get worse when you add SHIELD and enhancement to the mix.my brother once hit a whole formation for 8 damage and wiped every one out.:eek:
