This is probably a silly question, but I am afraid that what I have always assumed is wrong...

From the rulebook:

you get 1 action for every 100 points of your force’s build total. For example, a force with a build total of 100 points gives you 1 action every turn. A build total of 200 points gives you 2 actions every turn.

Does this mean that if I field a 298 point team in a 300 point tournment, for instance, I get two actions per turn only?

It means the build total for the game.

If it's a 300pt game, you get 3 actions.

It means the build total for the game.

I hope so. But this is not what the rulebook says...

It's based on the build total for the game, not how many points you used. On the other hand, if the build total for the game isn't a multiple of one hundred, the number of actions rounds down, e.g. a 250 point build total generates two actions per side.

I always thought you rounded all numbers up in HeroClix? Seems like ir would 1 action for each "up to" 100 points.
1-100 = 1 action
101-200 = 2 actions
201-300 = 3 actions

etc....
At least that's how we play.

Well, technically....

All those are House rules.

The ruleboook only explains that team build totals should be in 100 point increments. One action will be alloted for each 100 points.

So, in a way.... both oldguy and enigma would be correct.

I'm basing this on a recent ruling from WK on the issue as it was associated with a MAGE KNIGHT campaign scenario (always dangerous). Tsannik is quite correct on his reading from the rule book. However, both the HC and MK rule books state this the same way, and, in a recent 125-point (company-provided) scenario, the official ruling was "one action per side." Based on the similarities in wording, I'm making the assumption that actions would work the same.

On the other hand, special abilities and powers worded EXACTLY the same between the two games don't always work the same. Don't get me started on that one. So I may be way off.
