Well, gonna try my hand at making a better Superman than the constipated fellow we all know and maybe don't love so well as a sculpt.
So, I'm starting with Captain America, removing his lower legs and building new ones, thickening his waist, carving off the glove seams and face seams, and adding the hair and the cape.
It may take me a while to do, since I don't have a good cape to swap onto him, and capes are hard for me to sculpt... so, cheers until he's done.
Have you considered Steel's cape? It's the one I used for my Superboy mod (http://clix.themakis.net/superboy.jpg).
I'm going to try doing one with Hercules' torso and Black Panther's legs. I'll also be using Steel's cape ...
Wish me luck, as well. Modding a figure that can fully encompass and represent the raw power that is Superman is going to be tough.

Decided to cut the rock off his left foot and reposition it... also shave off the cuff. His right lower leg, though, is being completely rebuilt, and I figured out how to make the cape look how I wanted it.
Here's a preview of the pose. The lower leg is almost done, but the foot and its peg still need to be finished. Then I attach the cape, and get to painting. You can't see it here, but I've already added the hair.

Good luck.
If you have a Dr. Strange you might try that for the legs. The position you have the legs in looks similar to the Superman 1,000,000 I made using Doc Strange.

Well, here's the sculpt finished... now to paint it, and then attach a nub to the bottom of the foot to fit in a Flight Base.
Again, sorry for the ####py webcam pic. I gave the body a base blue coat to hide the Captain America paint job, and the obvious putty/plastic seams...

I've completely finished my Supes mod. I used Human Torch legs and used the upper body and arms of supes. I just repositioned them all to look as if he is just taking off with one arm raised. Also used Steels cape, which is much better than the standard supes. I just need to get at it and start taking pics of my mods......
