Hey there everybody. Just wanted to let you guys know that we've been running events at the Chautauqua Comics in Jamestown, NY. We're pretty close to the border of the state... I'm fairly sure we're less than half an hour from Pennsylvania AND Ohio actually, so people from all over are welcome here.
We play Sundays at around 1 PM. The games are pretty casual (we don't really have prize support yet), but that's kinda fun. If you have a clix team, we let you use it, regardless of the set it's in. (Gears of War and Streetfighter aren't just welcomed; they are DESIRED since we don't have much locally.)
The store isn't carrying much clix at the moment, but we're trying to convince the proprietor it's worth his while to put more money into it. Right now, though, there is a nice deal, just a hair over $10 for Green Lantern Fast Forces (So those of you wanting to stock up on Guardians, here's a great chance!).
As for players, we've got four regulars or so. I'm one of them, usually running a Batman villains or Runaways team, and the others tend to like specific interesting combos and the like. (One guy likes running an Arachnos team or League of Assassins, of all things, and another likes running lots of Regen, but doesn't focus on much else, team-building wise, and the last is an X-men fan.)
Tl;dr: Chautauqua Comics, 1 PM on Sundays. Typical Format: 300 Points Unlimited (All Heroclix allowed, including SF/GoW) No prize support currently, but hoping to change that soon. We usually have two or three rounds.
So anyways, if anybody lives out this way (Buffalo, Erie, Olean, Fredonia, etc.), we'd love to have you!
