300 pt. avengers, avengers unite and help me figure this out

(i know that was cheezy as hell) i wanna field 300 pts worth of avengers and still use red thor, how do i field a strong avengers/shield team and still use a red thor?

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the Veteran Thor in 300 point games if you want to use an Avengeres-heavy strategy. Where his 187 points is almost 2/3 of your team, you're giving up action advantage even before you take the Avengers' free moves into account. Granted, he's a tank, but he's an expensive one. If it were me, I'd use the Rookie (Yellow) Thor and use the 78 points to add the Scarlet Witch and Wasp.

That said, if you really want to use the Veteran Thor, you might want to consider a team like this:

E Quicksilver (24)
E S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent (12)
V S.H.I.E.L.D. Medic (16)
V S.H.I.E.L.D. Medic (16)
V S.H.I.E.L.D. Sniper (18)

Use the free Avengers moves to get the Panther into position and to get Quicksilver somewhere where he can tie up opposing figs. Use the rest of your actions to attack with Thor and the Sniper and to use the S.H.I.E.L.D. ability to boost their damage. Use the Medic's support as needed. No guarantee this will work though.

To absolutely use all Avengers (with the team affiliation) including V Thor, it is rough in 300 pt. However, this team might not be so bad, and they are all "Avengers" at one time or another.

It worked pretty well... but Veteran Thor is a 300 point game is insane, if you're going strictly Avengers.

They have been unbeatable! I have played them against a small heavy hitting team and a large team built to annoy.(outwitt, probability control etc.) The trick is keeping them out of range. When you get you're chance, run into range w/Thor carring Vision and an item on the way. Shoot the opponent's strongest character to death with Thor right off the bat. Use vision to carry Thor to far off targets(visions move + Thor's range w/running shot can hit annyone!), make break aways(phasing) or to kill off small target threats(medics, black panther etc). If you cripple your opponents strongest fighters at the start, they will have no way of dealing with Thor and vision combined!

Squeezing V Thor into a 300 point team is tough, but how about this:

Admittedly, including a top heavy veteran like Thor in a team with a unique figure will not get you big composition scores, but you will make most opponents give pause.

The team is extremely maneuverable- Wasp or Thor carry/strike combos work well with each other or with Hawkeye. If opposing figures are close enough, you might even be able to carry Quicksilver adjacent to use Flurry. Hawkeye can snipe at two "early dial' opponents (medics, most outwitters) or hit one guy for an decent 2 clicks. Wasp is good at late game clean up, or use her Incapacitate on upto two Invulnerable/Tough figures that have taken an action. Quicksilver is the weakest figure, but even he's good for tying up stragglers (medics, snipers, etc.) or for any opportune use of Flurry.

All of these posts are forgetting Quasar. He is a great Avenger. He may not be the best, but he is pretty good. Also, you can't forget my favorite Avenger, Ironman. He is awesome. I don't have a team prepared to show you, but your team should definately have Quasar and Ironman.

Everyone sounds really up on Quicksilver. I mean I love the guy, but...

Someone clue me in on to how EXACTLY to use this fast-moving lump of limited success, because I'm almost done with 'im.

I know that the Medic and Artist aren't Avengers, but neither would a SHIELD be, and I think they're helpful. You need the Healing, and Perplex never hurts.
