BEWARE-Uniques on bottom

I ordered half a case and opened them yesterday. Out of the bottom 24 packs I got 8 uniques. When I later asked the owner about all the others who had opened the top packs none of them had gotten any. This theory held up later that night as I bought two of the bottom of a case and two off the top, which yielded one more unique. And how sweet is Sauron?

I found this true also with cases I have bought for previous sets I wonder why this is.

I thought that was the case too but I learned otherwise. I bought a case and flipped it over. Didn't really want to open the whole case at the time so I figured to find my uniques by starting from the bottom. 12 boosters later no uniques. Next row up 4 uniques. Next 2 uniques. Finally the top layer had my last two uniques. I think they've worked on randomizing and that's the key, random.

I've bought a case and my uniques were all mixed! I got 8 in total and they were scattered from the top, middle and bottom. Wizkids inserts them all randomly, so there is no for sure way that all the uniques are going to be placed in only one section of the box. :p

Well, I can confirm what Killspree is saying. They are being more random this time around it appears, so I feel better sharing my story.

I opened by case and had all eight of my Uniques before I even hit the bottom two rows. This is a good sign, actually. No more skimming off the bottom by unruly types to get the uniques.

24 boxes and NO Iron Man??? Only 3 Uniques??? Darn the luck. - I did get Spiderman/Phoenix/Green Goblin.
My uniques were on the second tier of my box - none on the first level.

I bought 6 boosters right off the top of a freshly opened case yesterday and got 2 uniques...for what it's worth.

nope, ....my last 4 cases, IC, CT, HT, XP all had the majority of Uniques on the bottom row

Last night bought 6 consecutive boosters from the second row. Pulled 4 uniques. Beware the bottom, it isn't always going to work.

I picked up 7 boosters last night and pulled 2 uniques, lady deathstrike, and the leader. Not too bad for me. But if I buy lose boosters I always buy at least 6, I always get at least 1 unique that way, at least so far.:laugh:

My friend and I both bought a case a piece. My friend had all 8 of his uniques up on the first 2 levels. I had 3 uniques on the top, none on the second, 1 on the 3rd and 4 on the bottom. 2 whole cases and not a single Vet Taskmaster. We only managed one Exp Storm, 1 Vet Iceman, and 1 R Madame Masque between us too. We also didn't pull all 12 uniques. No Shadowcat and No Elektra.

I bought 15 packs and got JACK SQUAT!

My friend buys four packs right next to the ones I got, pulls THREE UNIQUES!

I hate this set for my rotten luck and blame Jon L personally. (Okay, not really, but I still get mad just thinking about it! Not at Jon, though...)

2 on top level(Electra and Hulk)
2 on second level(Shadowcat and Weapon X)
3 on third level(Deathbird, Sauron, and Spider-man)
1 on bottom level(Apocalypse)

isn't so bad.

Went to a store, the owner had sold the top half of a case. Everyone opened theirs in the store, no uniques. I got 14 boosters from the third level and pulled 5 uniques.

Me and a friend split a case and two other friends split a half a case. The full case yielded 8 uniques all on the bottom part. The half case was the bottom of a case and contained 8 Uniques! :surprised

I'm still happy though, I got Apocolypse and let me tell you, he and iceman kick butt indoors! Apoc is better than he seems, I suggest usin him.

I found a few fun packs... in one pack i got R Destiny and R Mystique, and in another i got Vet Destiny and Vet Mistique. Viper seems to be the current dupe queen while crimson dynamo appears to be coming up as the king (they musta had a sale on red paint). Ninjas seem to be pretty common but they look pretty cool to play with so ill deal with that..

Thank you Night Thrasher, I've been waiting to see someone post a "spread out" case. I'm going to be opening two cases soon, and out of curiousity over this long persisting rumor, I'm going to track where they all were when I open them!

I myself have purchased and opened 7 solid cases now.

2 of Infinity Challenge, 2 of DC, 2 of Clobberin time, and 1 of Xplosion.. oh and one of Mage knight Pyramids.

and pretty much every case has had the Uniques pretty heavily weighted in that bottom row. There are usually 2-4 scattered in the first 3 rows, and then the rest on the bottom row. And yes, I have pulled exactly 8 Uniques in every case.

I do have to say that Xplosion was probably the best case I have opened for completing a set though. got almost every figure. I think I need maybe 4 REV figures, and 5 Uniques to complete the set.

and the Unique is always the Second spot from the bottom of the booster box.

that is my take on my experience so far... I am actually regretting that I also ordered a half case.... man, I hope I get the bottom half!

My case was as follows:

1st Row: 5 Uniques= Hulk,Elektra,Green Goblin,Lady Deathstrike, and Sauron

2nd Row: 2 Uniques= Leader and Weapon X

3rd Row: No Uniques

My case came today!
I wasn't expecting it til Saturday, so lucky me.

I bought 20 boosters yesterday to satisfy my jones for Xplosion and didn't get one stinking unique.

Anyway, my case today...
Top row: 1 Unique - Deathbird
2nd row: No Uniques
3rd row: 7 Uniques - WeaponX, Leader, Shadowcat, Apoc, Sauron, Phoenix, and Savage Hulk!
4th row: No Uniques

Some things I also noticed.
Almost every booster in the bottom row had an Iron Man in it. Only one other Iron Man in the rest of the case.
Almost every booster in the second row had an Ice Man.
I got a plethera of Mandarins. It was almost comical.
Only one Storm Vet, one Exp, and no rookie.

And out of the case and a half I have opened, I'm still missing 4 REV figs.
Pretty poor coalation IMO.

I can probably trade for the 4 I'm missing. I've got a few Mandarins to trade. :grin:
