Why the forum merger?

I like Marvel and DC both. I'm a little more partial to DC. But is there an explanation anywhere as to why the forums were merged? I check both. But it's pretty obvious that there are more Marvel posts. I don't want to have to go to the 3rd page of subjects to get to something interesting DC subject. Just wondering.

Nevermind. Didn't see this the other day on the home page. I've had this problem of not seeing things until after the fact all day long.
