Would anyone like to play a 700 pt. (apiece) Marvel/DC honor dice rolling draft game? I've got a random generator that will choose which figures are in the draft, but alas, no XP yet. It has every other figure though, including LE's, U's, Big Figs (seperated), and promos.

I'm totally in. How we do dis?
CyberVenom
03/27/2003, 16:16
Well, I'd go and see what figures we get to use, which I've already done. :) (I just used the generator and looked up the totals till it equalled at least 1400, making fair game for 700 a piece)
First we'll roll to see who gets first choice on figures. My opening roll: 9
I'll post the figures we can choose from right now. :)

Awesome. Looks like fun.
My roll = 5. I guess you go first.

Here's the figures. I'll go in order of R/E/V and then the only LE in the group (no U's or Big Figs! booo!) The number next to the figure is how much it costs. But that doesn't matter now. After we've chosen all the figures, we make a 700 pt. team based on what we chose.
To make the choosing quicker, if you want to, we can make it where you choose a Rookie, Experienced, and Veteran in your turn, but you can switch for a lower rank. You can choose an E or R instead of the V for the turn. You can choose a R instead of the E for your turn. But you can't choose a V instead of the R or E for the turn. Get it?
Go ahead and choose the last E and two V's. From there it'll be three V's a piece.
My choices:
R T. O. Morrow 21
R Metropolis SCU 16
R Wolfsbane 28
R SHEILD Agent 10
E Thor 144
V Wasp 37
E Metropolis SCU 18
V White Queen 94
R Thug 6
V Hawk 69
E T. O. Morrow 26
R Huntress 18
R Huntress 18
E Skrull Warrior 16
V Bullseye 43
E Metropolis SCU 18
V Criminal 14
E Metropolis SCU 18
V Mad Hatter 41
V Vulture 24
V SHIELD Trooper 17
Kirsarge's choices:
R Wasp 24
E Ultron 139
E Scarlet Witch 36
R Mandroid Armor 28
E Doombot 33
V Black Panther 46
R Professor X 54
E Spider-Man 82
V Jean Grey 50
R SHIELD Agent 10
E Booster Gold 38
V Man-Bat 31
E SHIELD Sniper 14
E Elektra (CT) 22
V Bullseye 43
E Arcane 83
LE Clint Barton 51
V Blizzard 53
V Henchman 13

I think I get it. So I could choose V Wasp in the first round and later trade her for R Wasp? Or is it that you choose a Rookie, then I choose a Rookie, then you choose an Exp, then I choose an Exp, etc...
Edit: Just saw your choices, do I have to choose three rookies?
Angelofhate
03/27/2003, 16:39
I think he means you can choose a R/E/V In your turn, but you can opt to take a R/E/E or R/R/E or R/R/R
CyberVenom
03/27/2003, 16:39
I'll use my first turn as an example.
For my R choice, I chose R T. O. Morrow.
For my E choice, I chose R Metropolis SCU
For my V choice, I chose R Wolfsbane
Although I could have chosen an E for my E choice, and a V or E for my V choice, I went with the Rookies. You don't get to switch the rarity of the fig, but if you saw, say two E's you wanted, you can choose one with your E pick and one with your V pick.
By the way, the LE is considered a V when picking. :)

Okay, I made my choices. I'll just update the thread after I've edited the main one with Kirsarge's picks and I'll add mine in afterward.

Kirsarge

I have 45 points left. I assume I can by-pass Arcane and pick a veteran, yes?
CyberVenom
03/27/2003, 17:51
No. What we do is choose all the figures, then make a 700 pt team out of what we have. If you use all of your figures, and you have points left over, oh well. :) If you have more than 700, you make a team like normal and you just don't use the leftovers.
But one thing you should know before making the graphic for your team. Since we both will most probably have more than 10 figures on our teams, you will be putting them in order they will show up.
For example.
Figures A-J are on the playing field, but your complete team is more than 10 figures. When one of your figures is KOed, the next one on the graphic comes into play to take it's spot on the map.
You can place the new figure anywhere within any starting area.
If you push your figure to KO it, you place the new figure into one of the starting area spots, but you can't use that figure this turn.
Get it?

03/27/2003, 17:55
Got it. I'll make the next pick, and finish the draft, but I won't be able to play the game today. Can you play tomorrow? If not, feel free to have someone else grab my team and play. I hope you can hang on until tomorrow.
Sorry.
CyberVenom
03/27/2003, 17:58
It's all good. :) To tell the truth, I wasn't expecting to get started till tomorrow. And it's gonna be somewhat of a long game, so don't have any worries about not being able to do it quickly. :)
CyberVenom
03/27/2003, 18:08
Okay, I chose the final three with V Mad Hatter, V SHIELD Trooper, and V Vulture, leaving you to have the V Henchman.
Man, I added up all the figures I drafted and it came out to 696! LOL!
Kirsarge
03/27/2003, 18:09
Cool. So tomorrow, we make our teams using the MyRealms thingamabob, and then we chose a map?
I'm up to 850 pts.
CyberVenom
03/27/2003, 18:19
Correctamundo.
Yeah, that 850 ain't gonna work. LOL! I'm betting you cut out some of the carppy figs. :)
Remember when making your graphic that it will be showing what order the team will be showing up in. :)

CyberVenom, here it is, my 700-Point Team Madness Squad of Ultimate Nullifying Doom(bot). Also known as:
The Clint Barton Experience Featuring Ultron (http://www.hcrealms.com/cgi-bin/quickviewteam.cgi?teamname=700PointMadness&username=Kirsarge&action=graphic)
I had to cut some power from the squad, and Arcane, Elektra, and Blizzard all did not make the team.
I'm just about ready when you are to get this party started.
:) ;) :p :cheeky:  :classic:
(edit several hours later)
CyberVenom, are you around? Are we still doing this?
CyberVenom
03/28/2003, 17:35
Yeah, I'm still up for it, but I won't be able to start till Saturday. I forgot about this concert I'm going to tonight and I'm about to leave. I might be able to get my team graphic posted though. :)
CyberVenom
03/28/2003, 17:49
Okay! I won't be able to start, as previously stated, but my team is done!
So, without further ado, here's

Let's Go! I'll be available on and off all day, so we can start whenever you like. Which map should we use?
Kirsarge
03/29/2003, 15:04
CV - Like I said, I'm going to be on and off over the weekend, so I decided to go ahead and roll for the map:
6,2 = 8
If I win the roll, I want to use Map DC-D from the Heroix site.
CyberVenom
03/30/2003, 20:58
Okay, I'm finally able to update. Sorry about the hold up. :)
My roll for map: 10. I'll choose the DC Map that looks like the interior of a museum.
You choose which side you want and here's my rolls for objects:
Roll 1: 2 (boooo!)
Roll 2: 8
Roll 3: 10 (yay!)
Kirsarge
04/01/2003, 14:01
My rolls for the objects 5, 4, 9. Is that two light and 1 heavy?
I want to start on the side with the turtle.
Do I place my guys first or do you?
CyberVenom
04/02/2003, 23:17
That makes 2 Heavy and 1 Light for me, 2 Light and 1 Heavy for you, yes.
I'll take the opposite side from you, and I don't think it matters who places first, so it's up to you. If you'd prefer for me to place first, I'm cool with that.
PS: Thanks for putting up with my absense as of late. Hopefully, this upcoming Sat. will be the final one for a while.

I was going to put a lil' story together, but the team is so random, I can't think of how they'd interact. I'll keep working on it.
