This is a first look at how a 10 person sealed Xplosion tournament went this evening. 2 boosters, 200 points.
First Place: BigPoppaVej (Den Member) 3-0
Team: V Mystique, V Hand Ninja, E Psylocke, E Silver Samurai, E Typhoid Mary, E Con Artist, R Iceman.
Second Place: Andrew (Killed V Ironman with V Mandarin) 2-1
Team: V Mandarin, E Destiny, R Psylocke
Third Place: Thanosied (Den Member, Lost to a key double6 roll by opponent :( ) 2-1
Team: V Doc Samson, V Destiny, E Con Artist, R Silver Samurai, R Iceman
Fourth Place: (Forget Name) 2-1
Team: V Storm, V Swat Specialist, E Scorpion, E Destiny, R Beast
Fifth Place: (Forget Name) 2-1
Team: Deathbird, R Doc Samson, R Paramedic, R Boom Boom, R Mystique
Most of the other teams in the tournament consisted of beefier characters with no flyers nor perplex.
As can be seen by the top 5 positions perplex is definetly affecting the tournament environment. This is looking like a trend for the future as it seems to have a large impact on the game. Destiny also seems to be very strong as a lot of teams had her today. As much as I hate to admit it, Destiny is definetly one of the better characters to get in sealed.
